Credit to Rich who sent in this style tip… looks like the J. Crew Final Sale continues to fluctuate and has added a few more worthwhile pieces in some standard sizes.
Check that, one more worthwhile piece in standard sizes. Everything else has been stripped of the Ss, Ms, & Ls.
Corduroy is back and in a big way. Except for in the wale, or thickness of each cord. That you want to keep medium to downright skinny. Big wale corduroy of any kind will make you look like a chair from 1973. The Ludlow fit is the more modern / slimmer lapel fit that J. Crew offers, and their corduory Ludlow sportcoat is currently available in most sizes through their final sale. The wale is nice and trim, as is the fit. Stick with the darker carob and wear it everywhere.
Don’t procrastinate though. Rich actually sent in two products in his style tip yesterday. The other was the Sunderland trench, and there was a few sizes available for that one. Now they’re already down to just the XLs.
Final sale means final. No returns, no exchanges. So be aware. Also, know that unlike the last time a Ludlow jacket hit the final sale, there’s no ship date warning that pops up saying it’ll be 4 months before it heads out to your door. Looks like this one is legit, even if it is more expensive.
