Would You Wear It? The Bizarrely Unique Canvas Chrono

Citizen AT0870-37A Eco-Drive Chronograph Canvas Strap Watch – $112.50

Pick up a canvas band military inspired watch for under $150 and more often than not this is what you’ll find:

  • A dark Dial
  • A small face (sometimes under 40mm)
  • Contrasting numbers
  • No Chronograph

The Citizen AT0870-37A Eco-Drive somehow manages to do the opposite of all that, and come in at around $110.

The Dial is bright white and so are the numbers and hands.  It’s a hefty 46mm in diameter, comes with a chronograph, and is powered by the unbeatable Citizen Eco Drive.  It’s like an albino version of the Seiko SNDA65 with $80 lopped off the price tag.

At $112.50  it’s awfully tempting for those of us who have yet to dive into the canvas strap watch market.  It’s certainly different than the J. Crew Timex, Seiko 5, and the aforementioned Seiko SNDA65.

So the question is:  Would you wear it?
