For the love of all things that haven’t melted yet… this summer just seems like it’s dragging. Fall can’t get here soon enough. Aside from the cooler weather, one of the best parts about autumn is the stashing away of summer footwear and the reemergence of boots.
Just about every guy has black or brown dress boots. Probably a pair of work or hiking boots as well. But if you really like boots (and a lot of us do) consider the in-betweens that are a little hard to define. Like any of these three. Each easily attainable for under $85.00.

All the Doc with none of the clunk. A standard Doc Marten boot is the nose tackle of the boot world. These are more like a free safety. Sleek and low to the ground with a much slimmer toe. The white/off white stripe around the edge will be a deal killer for some, but a deal maker for others.

Boots, jeans, maybe a sweater, and a tailored blazer is a great cooler weather look. If you want to go beyond great, find a pair of boots with some sort of classic dress shoe stitch detailing. Like a cap toe, or in this case, a wingtip. Still very much a boot but without the bluntness, these look like a major steal for under $80.

Earthkeepers lean heavily towards work boots, but they’re mainly canvas and pretty low profile. The name comes from the use of environmentally friendly materials. Organic cotton, recycled rubber, that kind of thing. And the price is extremely low for this particular boot. Can’t say I’ve ever seen them under $90.
