From UNIONMADE Goods: Tanner Goods Card Carrier – $58.00
Full credit to the GQ email subscription service Sharp and Smart for the tip on their new online store.
UNIONMADE Goods is a store in San Francisco that carries a select group of brands that has to pass a pretty serious test to make it onto their floor. From Unionmadegoods.com:
Brands that manufacture clothing that is durable, well designed and timeless. Jeans that a customer could wear for years and would sooner repair than replace; sweatshirts that get softer and more perfect after each laundry cycle; a shoe that will be just as relevant and better looking in 20 years then it is today.
Top level stuff. Which means most of it rightfully comes with a top shelf price. But that doesn’t mean you can’t pick up some of the smaller items for under $100. The Tanner Goods Card Carrier is a fine example. Made in Oregon out of thick wool and bridle leather, it’s sophisticated badassery (that a word?) at its finest.
$58.00. Totally unique. Also available in brown and black leather.

Another great S.F. based company that shares those same principles is T.A.D. Gear. Very pricey, but you won’t ever have to replace things you buy there. Their Recon or Creature hoodies are the final word in hoodies (not necessarily fashionable, but very practical and the creature hoodie’s ears are awesome).
Looks nice, but not my style. I like more of a slim minimalistic wallet/card case, rather than all those buckles and folds
The leather ones sort of remind me of the sleeve from an 80s style leather jacket.
