Sleek Loafers Under $100

Five Pairs of Sleek Loafers Under (well, all but one) $100.00

Laceups are what you want to wear with a suit, but if you’re going with a blazer (with chinos or jeans) that’s when you want to put on a pair of loafers.  Not traditional box toe penny loafers, or those tassel things your Dad wore, something sleek.  You want a loafer with a bit of point to the toe, a rounded heel, and just enough details to make them stand out.

Of course loafers are more casual than laceups.  But that doesn’t mean you want them to look like they fell off the back of an orthopedic shoe truck.  Any of these laceless wonders will do you right for around $100 or under.

Gant Cage Penny Strap – $73.98 (reg. $184.95)

A huge name at a small price.

A Gant shoe for under Eighty Dollars?  That’s rare.  Split stitching at the very tip of the toe, outstanding overall shape, and a tremendous brand name.  It’s not every day you find a pair of shoes that normally sniffs the $200 level, marked down for just $75.00.
.

Steve Madden Kweit Loafer – $54.23 (reg. $79.95)

Slightly squared off in the toe, but not totally chopped.

Steve Madden consistently makes shoes affordable, decent looking shoes, and his kweit loafer fits that mold to a T.  With a regular price of $80 and a sale price around fifty bucks, these aren’t going to blow your mind with construction, but, they’ll get the job done.  Wear em’ with jeans and a tweed blazer.
.

Kenneth Cole New York Real Life Loafer – $88.99 (reg. $147.95)

Bike Toe + Plain Strap = Modern (but not too modern) Dress.

The dressiest looking of the bunch.  Sometimes it can feel like the markup on  Kenneth Cole shoes is a little high.  But this pair is just right at the sale price of $90.  Sale is only available for the black.  Women should like these.
.

DKNY Deaton Slip On – $108.91 (reg. $159.95)

Over the $100 limit. A risk, but, maybe worth it?

So it’s nine dollars over the $100 limit.  Dig around in your couch cushions.  Delay that haircut you scheduled by a week.  These could be that unique pair of stand out loafers you’ve been looking for.  The cap toe stitching is an interesting detail, and if you’re into texture you’ll love the leather.  The wrinkling will be a deal killer for some, but it looks subtle enough to not be obnoxious.
.

Giorgio Brutini Men’s 173941 Loafer – $69.95

Simple, smooth, and possibly smelly.

This brand has long been rumored to smell like gasoline.  Seriously.  Take a look around the internet and read some reviews of anything that Giorgio Brutini cranks out.  I have no idea if these shoes in particular will make your feet smell like a Chevron station, but what I do know is that plain and minimalist is strangely rare.  It’d be nice to find a non-stank-saddled brand that makes a similar loafer with absolutely nothing on it.
