The markup on sunglasses is usually ridiculous. Plastic frames or metal frames, you usually end up paying for a name that’s barely visible on the lens or ear piece. Not with these. Seemingly plain but with a perfect squared off aviator shape, these don’t look like something you picked up at a gas station, nor are they expensive relative to most shades you’d find at a Sunglass Hut. But can someone explain the leather stamped “SMITH” on the case? At least that’s what I’m seeing when I zoom in…

Texture. Big time texture. But still somewhat smooth looking thanks to the silk that’s worked in too. Available in gray or navy, a silk/wool blend tie needs to be in every guy’s lineup. Could be worn casually (even with jeans), or elevated to suit level. Can’t go wrong with either the gray or navy blue. Nice job L.E.C.

Not the cheapest thing on their site, but tough to resist. Having a go to weekend bag is one way to make sure every short vacation starts off on the right foot. Just small enough to fit in the overhead compartment, and rugged enough to look better after a few good years of rough handling.
