Lucky Brand Jeans Slim Straight 221 – $49.99
(reg. $99.99)
Don’t be scared off by the “Slim Straight” moniker. These aren’t as slim as the Levi’s 514 slim straights. With more wiggle room than the Levi’s, these are a good option for anyone looking for a Gap Authentic Fit style of cut, that’s a little more trim, with a waistband that’ll hold up better in the wash.
I know I’m not the only one who has had issues with the strange ability of gap denim waistbands to expand over time. Usually it’s a guys waistline that’s expanding, not his jeans.
Navy tonal stitching across the back pockets, a super dark blue wash, and a button fly make these worth the sale price of $49.99. Available in almost all waist sizes with a “regular” inseam of 32.5″.
Dang, they look like the expensive J. Crew Vintage Slim jeans, cool. – As for jeans that expand, Express jeans. Those jeans give you dirty diaper syndrome in a couple of minutes of wear, strange because they’re snug like any other after a wash but they expand twice as much as any. for almost $100 an Express jean, they suck. I have to find a store of lucky brand here to check these out.
If you can find a “Buckle” store anywhere near you (usually found in a mall), and you can push past all of the “d-bag” Affliction shirts and whatnot, then you can usually find Lucky Brand Jeans there. Also, while you’re there, check out their house brand of jeans, BKE. They’re usually a pretty decent brand, given you can find a pair without too much crap or “distressing” on some of them.
Maybe it’s the faint outline of the model’s junk that makes me want to avoid this look…?
Please just give up on designer jeans all together…I had rock and republics, citizens, true religions, sevens, paper denim, antik, Kasils and maybe a few more and now all i wear is the levis 514 or 511. You can find them on sale for about $30 at your local Macys, jcpenny, sears or any of those places. Great jeans and very classic american style.
