Thanks Adam. A lot. Had no idea that ASOS was doing a massive blow out summer sale, but thanks to Adam who dropped a comment in yesterday’s Banana Republic post, we’re all now well aware.
Bryan made a follow up comment to Adam’s which will ring true with a lot of you. Sometimes ASOS can be a little overwhelming with their selection. They’ve got their own line (which is amazingly cheap) and tons of other brands like Ben Sherman, Gap, and even higher style luxury items. But who wants to wade through all that stuff?
Wait… I suppose that’s my job. Time to pour another glass of port and get after it. Only items with at least Medium or Large sizes available have been selected. Use code ASOSTreats for an additional 10% off. Here’s the picks:
The Original Penguin coat looks a little boxy, but your tailor can take care of that. And when they’re done, you have a double breasted cotton trench by a dependable brand at your disposal. That ASOS Check Mac costs about as much as a good bottle of wine. If you don’t have a decent three season rain coat, now’s the time to invest.

Is the gray version of that funnel button neck a safer option? Of course. Think Levi’s and Red Wings (or J Shoes Desert Boots) as companion pieces. But unlike the blue version it’s not $17. Speaking of gray, that Zip Shawl from Fly 53 is something I’ve never seen before. And you gotta dig those arm stripes.
.
I actually like the side stitch detailing on the Base London Aspects. Also, the Gibson Aperture might be a little lighter brown than most are used too… but they’ve got a great design and would go well with a chino suit.

Yes it’s too hot to think about wearing a winter hat. But $5? Some people spend more than that on coffee. In a day. The Keyhole Notch Sunglasses could be a total hit… or miss… but they resemble Persols and they’re $10.
Thanks again Adam. Happy digging to everyone else who hits ASOS for the sale.
From wheelhouse standards like chinos and sweaters, to fancy holiday stuff like velvet blazers and…

In person with an iconic loafer... in a not so classic shade.
It's autumnal temptation time. Coats. Boots. Blazers. Sweaters. Shoes.
Brooks Brothers also gets in on the "sale's on sale" act.
