Wool has a unique and incredibly deep texture. Summer fabrics are understandably on the thin and smooth side. That difference is precisely why wearing a wool tie during the warmer months looks so good. It breaks up the homogeneous layers of cotton or linen blends with something that’s rough and thick. Which is something your standard smooth as glass silk tie can’t do.
