Macy’s I.N.C. Cotton Linen Blazer – SALE $51.99
(reg $100)
| Pant – SALE $21.99
(reg $50)
The J. Crew Cotton Ludlow might be the suit of the year, but this Macy’s INC Cotton/Linen Blend suit could easily be the best deal of 2010.
First featured in Steal the Style from Ocean’s 12, and then as the top choice in the Best summer Suits under $200, this affordable two piece from Macy’s has been making some noise. It was a great value at just $150, then it dropped to $100… and now it has been even further reduced to just $75. Plus, unlike a lot of other pieces from INC, this isn’t a Macy’s “Everyday Value” so you can use any savings coupons Macy’s might have sent you in the mail.
I’m siting on a 20% off coupon right now, so that means I could get this terrific summer suit for only $60. Scratch the “could” from that last sentence. I will be getting this terrific summer suit for only $60.
All sizes are still amazingly available. Don’t wait, the sale most likely ends Tuesday. After that it’ll probably go back to being (gasp) $100 again.
I was thinking about picking one of these up for various summer parties. Does anyone know how the items fit? I played linebacker in college (big chest, arms, legs) and I am 6’0″ 210lbs. I usually wear a 42 Jacket and 34 pants. Does this fit like a normal suit (Ralph Lauren, Banana Republic, etc.) or is it more slim fit(Kennith Cole Reaction, Alfani Red)? Thanks.
It’s more slim fit, but, it’s not a skinny fit… I’d say very much like a Kenneth Cole.
I couldn’t find this on the actual Macy’s site, just the Amazon links… and they have just a small medium large sizing type. How does that convert? I wear a 38 in Alfani Red, so where does that land?
Just kidding I found it on the site but I still have the same issue with the sizing conversion
Hey Sean – I’m a 40r in the Alfani Red (5’9 / 165lbs) and I could have either purchased a Medium or a Small. Medium would have required some tailoring but I like my jackets to be pretty close to the body. So I actually went with the small, and it should require zero tailoring. First time I’ve done that in a long time. Hope that helps…
I was just at my local Macy’s and I tried this suit on, so I thought I’d throw my 2 cents in. Hopefully it’ll help someone on the fence.
I wear a 40R in the Alfani Red (6′ / 185lbs – athletic build). The Medium jacket fit me damn near perfectly, no tailoring necessary.
Also, note that I just went with my brother to buy this at Macy’s in the store. It was priced at the normal $100, but I brought up the amazon links from this article on my iPhone and showed it to the lady. Seeing that, she gave us the $75 sale price without much effort.
I just got it this afternoon. Dis. Sh*t. Go. Hard. I got the sand pearl blazer and pants and the black pants alone. I was very pleased, despite the fact that the listing online is incorrect. It should say both pieces are linen/ ramie 55/45.
I am wearing this to a wedding this Saturday with a black Silk Woven Pindot Tie. I’m curious as to what pattern/color shirt you guys would wear with it?
It seems like the basic choice, but I think a pale/light blue shirt would look tremendous.
I was thinking that too. I tried it on last night with a light blue and a midnight blue, and the light looked best.
