These are beautiful bikes. They’re also expensive.
Coming in at just over one-thousand dollars, the Trek District is the kind of bike you buy when you sell of your car you’re still making payments on, buy a $2000 P.O.S for emergencies, groceries, and bad weather, then commit to riding everywhere else.
The combination of gunmetal gray and retro-orange is perfect. The brown saddle and hand grips are dead on, and instead of an oiled up chain to power your way down the road, it uses a dry, quiet, and super strong belt. So no grease marks on your cuffs.
The reviews speak volumes.
Want to avoid dropping four figures on a bicycle? The Trek Third District knocks the price down $300, but you lose the color combination. Good news is the Gold is apparently much more subdued than in the online photos.
Pure honesty here: I want one. Bad.
