Credit to GQ Style Corespondent Brett Fahlgren for dropping this new email service “The Hound” in my inbox. There’s a lot of email newsletters out there (by the way, have you joined Dappered Style Mail?) and not many of them are worth it. But if he keeps offering up picks like the Bianchi Milano series, then I’m all for another email or two a week.
Balancing just enough cruiser laid back-ness with a hybrid street style, the Bianchi Milano could be the best looking pleasure/commuter bike series on the road. The fenders and chain guard will keep your clothes clean, and there’s plenty of shifting and color options to help keep the price down.
They range from just over $400 to just under $800, with the internal gear 8-speed Alfine (above) being the flagship. If you’ve got reasonably strong legs, you shouldn’t need more than the three speed Parco. And at just $500, that’s some serious Italian style for less than you’d think.
Inspired by all those back to school shopping lists, let's grow it up and do…
