Better than a super-light gray summer suit, this medium to lighter gray sharkskin suit
So what precisely is Sharkskin? It’s a wool in which the fabric is woven with two alternating colors of thread, that when combined make another blended color. Because of the tightly woven pattern, in some lighting it can appear to have a bit of a “sheen” to it, but nothing like the cotton sateen jackets you can see popping up in a lot of more-modern leaning men’s stores.
It’s tough to find a medium gray suit. Usually only almost-black Charcoal is what you’ll find on the racks… and yes it’s great to have one of those too. But one of the keys of having a real sense of modern style is standing out, without completely standing out. (I know that sounds ridiculous) This is the perfect suit to do that in.
One final note: ignore the tie the model is wearing. That thing is way too 1960s. Stick with one of these.
