Maybe you’ve noticed that there’s been quite a few light cotton summer suits posted in the last few weeks. Some were expensive, some were middle of the road, some were downright dirt cheap.
What you don’t know is that I’ve been searching online for one in particular. The only one I’ve found that combines the best of all three (fit, price, and quality) and it’s been driving me insane because I can’t find it.
I tried it on in a Dillards about a month ago. It was a Calvin Klein
Much cheaper than the J. Crew Ludlow, more versatile than the striped Express Corded Cotton, and three times the quality of the so-so at best just over $100 INC Blazer and Pants combination.
I snapped a quick pic with my cell, hung it back on the rack, and never saw it again.
I checked Dillards.com. Not even a mention of it. CalvinKlein.com appeared to have it, but only XL jackets despite it being a “new arrival.” I couldn’t find this damned-yet-perfect suit for the life of me. The ongoing search was getting impossible. Yeti in Cario impossible. So I gave up.
And last night I stumbled across what could very well be the same suit on Macys.com, which I had checked weeks before. That, and it was on sale for $60 off. Under $200.
Dr. Livingston I presume?
Macys.com says both the pants and jacket are cotton, not cotton linen blend. Their Amazon store mentions that the pants do in fact have some linen in them.
Here’s my question to you. Is this a match?
Plus a restock (no sale) of a favorite USA assembled dive watch.
It's nice when a brand warns their customers in advance of raising their prices.
Spring ready sneakers, grooming goods, watches, etc. Saddle up. Amazon's spring sale is on.
New sportcoats. Italian desert boots. J. Crew dips their promo-toes into spring.
From de-scaling irons to shining shoes to smelling coat pits. Let's clean up our act.
New Seikos are on sale, and J. Crew's Suit event is expiring soon.
