Sure does. It seems to mimic the new Fine Stripe Cotton Ludlow suit from J. Crew. Our suit of the year.
The Lapels are a bit shorter on the jacket from Express, and the stripes also seem to be just a bit thicker. Unlike the J. Crew suit, this one is corded cotton which will look different that just regular cotton (think extremely low profile seersucker). It’s still a whip-smart and nicely unique pick for a guy who wants a summer suit that’s not the standard khaki colored chino.
At $100 less than the J. Crew suit, it’ll look almost as good for about 2/3rds of the J. Crew Price.
Don’t follow the model’s lead and go with a darker tie. Otherwise you end up looking like an Easter Egg.
