There’s a lot of ugly, expensive furniture out there. Thankfully Cost Plus World Market doesn’t carry much of either. Almost always stylish, and more often than not dirt cheap, their stuff is built reasonably well and should last long enough that you’ll feel you got your money’s worth.
Leather chairs can cost a small fortune. Especially if you’re going for the speakeasy / classic club chair look, and you get roped into buying one from a place like Pottery Barn. Their Manhattan Leather Chair runs about $2,000.
And for a lot of us, for $2,000 we expect it to have wheels and an internal combustion engine.
