Ben Sherman Gentleman Coat

Ben Sherman Gentleman Coat – $299.00

First of all… on the price.  This coat was just on sale for around $200.  So if you’re interested, it should be worthwhile to wait and take your chances on the sizes.

And second, the buttons.  Yes the buttons aren’t symmetrical.  They sweep up to the wearers right shoulder and become noticeably off center on the fourth button from the bottom.  (See the Zappos Site for multiple angles / better pics of the coat) But if you’re wearing it like a classic pea-coat, you would most likely leave those top two buttons undone.

When the top two buttons are secured, it takes on an extremely military look.  Probably too much for some.  The collar is high, and stays high since it won’t lay flat.  It’s tall and appears stiff so you best be good with that if you’re thinking about making the purchase.

It has a herringbone pattern and the deep blue / not that dark navy is your one color option.  The better deal by far is the Topman coat, but if you want something a little more unique, this could be your coat.
