You can’t top the classic American sneaker. Many have tried, many have failed. Miserably. But if you’re looking for a pair of updated, more modern looking (yet still retro-themed) sneakers, aim for something not too overstated. Be warned. If you fall for a pair of too-trendy “athleisure” kicks… you might find yourself with shoes so loud, people will ask you to turn your foot ware down.
There are some ugly…ass… shoes out there.
This pair of Diesel Unforgettable sneakers walk the fine line pretty well. The White and gray uppers will work with just about anything that’s casual, and the black and light-tan soles offer a good neutral color balance. A pair of metal eyelets at top stand out in a non-obnoxious way.
They’re a little more than just sneakers. In a good way.
