We were lucky enough to get one of these as a gift and it inexplicably just sat up on the top shelf of our pantry for the longest time. Unopened, still in the packaging, just waiting. The weather recently cooled down and we’ve been making this roasted fall vegetable pizza quite a bit. It’s easy to make and it’s terrific to pull out of the fridge and heat up as leftovers.
The only pain is that you’ve got to cut a ton of squash and potatoes. So I figured why not give that new knife in the pantry a shot?
I’m no chef but this seems like a great entry level cleaver for the novice who wants something substantial in his hands that can just flat out melt through anything. Great feel, took all the work out of my butternut squash chopping, and it instantly became my favorite knife. Great for smashing garlic too. The big fat blade makes for a perfect tool to scoop up and transport what you just chopped, which if you’ve got this cleaver, was certainly no chore at all.
