Aside from the fact that he’s an incredibly talented artist, the song is great, and the video itself is nothing short of a great work of art, whoever is dressing David Gray these days is doing a great job.
David Gray’s new album Draw the Line
Finding a close and affordable replica to Mr. Gray’s suit in the video will be almost impossible. But I think we can get it pretty close. Here’s what he appears to have on:
The Suit: Chalk Stripe, Three Piece, Two Button, Ticket Pocket, Tailored, but not too slim, and add on a pale Pinkish Dress Shirt.
Grimey refined? Dusty Formal? I don’t know what it is or should be called, but it’s a snappy look. He’s got a least a couple days worth of beard going on. Pretty cool contrast between the suit and the relaxed look.
Here’s another option that’s even closer, but… no vest. If you can find a store that sells the vest with this suit, then you’re pretty much dead on.
Pair it with a light pink shirt (not too pink, maybe not even pink at all) and you’re there.
And buy the album now that it’s out.
Here’s the Video:
