I have a personal affinity for casual blazers. I only own a couple that I wear often, but I recently purchased one that I can honestly say is one of the most comfortable pieces of clothing I wear.
Throwing a blazer on over a collared shirt (even an old wrinkled one) changes up what you’ve got on in a terrific way. It makes you look, well… better. More put together I guess, but without being stuffy. That and you’ve got more pockets to put stuff in.
Calvin Klein is having a sale and since it’s the end of summer their seersucker jacket (on the right) is marked down a touch. $99 is a lot of money, but… for a good jacket it’s not. It takes a bit of, panache (whatever that is) to pull off the super light colored jacket with jeans, but if the jacket is tailored up right, it’ll look pretty natural. Even if you’re a boring gray/black/blue color addict like myself.
The other jacket is actually a blazer. It’s much less formal and has that good rumpled weekend look to it. Patch pockets on the outside make it even more relaxed and it’ll come in handy with the upcoming change in season.
One is a bit more dressy, the other pretty casual. Either way it’s that extra step that pays off fivefold and it takes minimal effort.
