Free TV Worth Watching

Globe Trekker – On PBS

TV on Monday nights can be absolutely awful.  Not on PBS.

Globe Trekker is like those videos you got to watch in middle School Social Studies class, only not boring.  At all.  Rick Steves if he was kinda buzzed if you will.  Young, energetic, and incredibly personable hosts jet to every corners of the earth.  And they don’t stay in the hotel room.  They get into the local areas, and mix with the local people.  Great camera work, good music, and incredible story tellers will get you learning and interested in visiting everywhere from Reykjavik to Buenos Aires.

If it’s Megan McCormick or Ian Wright as the world-travelling host, pour a beer and don’t get off the couch.  They are the best people for what seems to be one of the best jobs in the world.
