I think I’m the only one out there that isn’t blown away by the exterior styling of the new Chevy Camaro. I have a tremendous appreciation for the attempt at making something that balances futuristic looking lines with the retro styling of the model’s forebearers. But I just don’t know if they got it done. It looks a little bloated to me. Not muscular.
And those headlights. I like them, kind of, but they also remind me of an Angry Johnny-5.
I’m really in the minority on this. NPR did a great story this morning on how the new Camaro has given GM (a company my Grandfather worked for and I will always root for) a much needed shot in the arm. People are almost lined up around the block to get their hands on one of these. And that’s reason enough to cheer America’s newest Pony car. Jalopnik has a very well written review, and has an interesting response to its release. Star Wars comes into play.
The Camaro probably looks a million times better in person. But for my money, the best looking car GM had made in a LONG time… just met the executioner’s axe:
Too bad they didn’t make the Pontiac Solstice in a deep green before the brand bit the dust.
Plus a Christmas album you probably haven't heard yet this year. Maybe.
