Big thanks to Sasha R. for the tip on this one.
Looks like something quite sweet is going on over at Nordstrom Rack through Tuesday November 3rd.
Nordy Club members (same log in as your Nordstrom mainline account) are getting an extra 20% off (max savings of $50) with the code THANKS20 at checkout. Some of their promo banners imply you need to go through the app, but at post time, that’s not true. A web browser is working just fine. Proof here. The promo code entry field can be a little tough to spot. Scroll down and it should be around/above where you choose a payment option. You do have to be logged into your Nordy Club rewards account for the code to apply. It’s free to join. No store brand credit card required.
Lots (like, lots) of good, new arrivals have landed at Nordstrom Rack as well. So let’s put the Treat yo Self into Trick or Treat. Code THANKS20 expires Tuesday night, but as this is Nordstrom Rack, stock can be limited and move fast.
Just in time for the seasons ahead. It’s a vest, it’s a rain jacket, it’s an insulated mac. Just depends on which piece you’re wearing and if you combo it together for the colder days. Poly elastane. Vest is poly with poly insulation.
Already hard to find Red Wings on sale, so to get a pair of their heritage Iron Rangers on serious sale AND to max out the 20% off (up to $50) is somethin’ else.
Wat. Nice price. Full review here. That’ll probably sell out.
Outerwear sure has gotten expensive in the last few years. With these landing at The Rack AND getting an extra fifty bucks at checkout, at least they land back down to 2023 prices. 70% wool, 30% polyamide.
Rugged but can still pull duty with smart casual stuff. Description claims they’re water resistant and Goodyear welted. Really?
Swiss made. Automatic Valjoux chronograph movement. Already a deal if you like the style and color and really nice watches are your thing. The extra $50 off makes it quite tempting. Note that there’s a 1-star review from a knucklehead who says: “Price scam. Imagine the shock and anger felt when I went to register my just purchased $1200 (40% savings) and I see it on the manufacturer site for $540 bucks!!! Nordstrom you tried to rip me off!! Shame on you.” Yeah that’s because they make a quartz version too ya ding-dong. This is the much more expensive automatic version. The quartz version is ~$500ish. No battery here. Good grief the overall lack of critical thinking skills & general self awareness is getting worse.
Another one star review which reads: “The clock doesnt work. NoWork. I put it on time but in two or three days the clock is no longer correct” [shows a pic of the watch stationary in a box]. THAT’S BECAUSE THE POWER RESERVE ON THE AUTOMATIC MOVEMENT RAN OUT WHILE YOU WEREN’T WEARING IT YOU ABSOLUTE… oh forget it.
An investment, but it’s 100% merino AND reversible.
Not your Granddaddy’s weejuns. Italian made. Sleek.
Herringbone pattern. Barbour tartan undercollar. Patch pockets keep it in the “sporting” sportcoat style instead of a more formal suit jacket.
Rich suede. Cap toe. Made in Spain. Really nice price with the 20% off. Word is they run a bit large. So you may want to try half a size down.
“Uncle El. Stay Gold“… and Tortoise. Made in Italy.
Classic, quilted, Barbour. Poly shell with a corduroy collar.
Won’t have the hearty feel of a pair of Allen Edmonds, but as they’re Italian, that’s not what most would expect. Lighter/more flexible.
Modern & sleek but still professional.
Not really the season for this color of suede, but the price sure is right.
A perfect blend of traditional and modern. Lambskin leather. Raglan sleeves.
Website says they’re “Made in Canada”, but the tags appear to say Made in Portugal (at least in the online shots.) Premium fabrics. Extremely well reviewed over on the mainline Nordstrom site. Another item where we’ll annoyingly run into the “max $50 discount” barrier.
Extra 20% off does bump them below the free shipping threshold though. That’s a bummer. So know that/don’t get surprised at checkout.
From mainline Nordstrom’s house brand (not the Nordstrom Rack cheaper line.) Stand collar instead of the older-school floppy bomber style.
Not sure why this got a 1 star review on the Norstrom Rack website. There’s no text to go along with said review. Looks pretty good from here. Leather is decent. Strap is basic/cheap “seatbelt” material, but overall it’s a professional looking, leather briefcase. Black (above) or tan.
A versatile mac made made from water repellent wool instead of the usual poly or cotton/poly blends.
Triumph Bonneville not included.
Looks a heck of a lot like their (just reviewed) Paul chukkas, just with a nubuck upper and a textured, dark crepe sole.
Not made in the USA. One of the (many) products Filson has started to import.
A classic. Nordstrom has been carrying these for years. Nice to see them trickling over to Nordy Rack and also getting the 20% off.
Currently on sale for ~$214 over at Nordstrom mainline. Much more affordable here. No half sizes at The Rack though (they do have half sizes at Nordy proper.) Free shipping as they’re over $89, but returns will set you back a prepaid label unless you can get them to a physical Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack location. Made in Italy, dark brown suede chukkas. Those’ll do.
The Nordstrom Rack THANKS20 Extra 20% off (max $50 discount) for Nordy Club Members deal expires Tuesday night. Remember that free shipping at The Rack won’t kick in until at $89. Returns are only free in store at either a Nordstrom mainline or Nordstrom Rack brick and mortar location. Otherwise, you’re on the hook for a prepaid label.
Style on sale without the scaries.
Has Allen Edmonds made a "comfort" dress shoe which still looks stylish and serious?
Sapphire Crystal, 3-6-9 subdials, and priced in the $100s. Will this motorsport chrono get your…
Sportcoats, sunglasses, cheap pima tees. Sale's on sale at Nordstrom. Free shipping & returns too.
From Mr. Fall Man to Holiday Party Prep. Making outfits to maximize the stacking deals.
Old-school Hollywood cool for under $150. UPDATE: Annnnd they're sold out again.
