Looks like “The J. Crews” have had it with their warm weather stuff. First it was mainline J. Crew, ratcheting up their clearance section deal to an additional 60% off. Now it’s their more affordable “Factory” styled brand taking its turn.

Extra 70% off is as deep as J. Crew Factory tends to go on their clearance section. All final sale though. No returns or exchanges. And don’t expect the fit or feel or fabrics to be on par with mainline J. Crew. That’s why they’re here though, to offer some similar styles for a more affordable price point.

Houndstooth linen blazer – $59.99 FINAL ($450)

Micro houndstooth looks fresh & summery without being overly bold or “drunk uncle” loud. Would look good with navy or light gray chinos. Would also do well over a t-shirt with olive five pockets and sneakers or drivers. Could pull a little duty with jeans too once it starts to cool off.

 

Brown Glen Plaid 100% linen blazer – $59.99 FINAL ($450)

Tonal glen plaid adds contrast up against a solid shirt and trousers. Just add chinos, a button up, and some smart looking lace ups or loafers and you’re set for that one last wedding of the season.

 

Cotton beach sweaters – $23.09 FINAL ($120)

Four colors but the two above are at the $23.09 price point. Beachy slub look to the fabric. 100% cotton. The idea that these would be $120 at full “comparable value” price is laughable, but that’s how these FACTORY styled brands do it (high “comparable value” prices and then on sale perpetually at different levels.)

 

Shark eating pizza socks – $2.39 FINAL ($19.50)

Herringbone chore jacket – $41.99 ($198)

100% cotton. Chore jackets are one of those excellent extra layers you’ll reach for all the time once you have one. Looks great over a t-shirt or polo. Good to have on hand in the summer if you want an extra layer to keep the sun off (I’ve been wearing something similar all summer long.) Excels in early fall when the day starts off warm but cools off later on.

 

Chambray flip-flops – $19.19 ($79.50)

In case you find yourself on a boat. “Comparable value: $79.50” Oh come on.

 

Printed flex casual shirt – $23.39 FINAL ($98)

Casual short sleeve button ups in warm weather prints at a price point which is positively 2022.

 

Leather lace-up shoes – $47.39 FINAL ($198)

Somewhere Adam, our shoe expert, just choked on his coffee (he has high standards for shoes and we absolutely love and respect him for it.) These “leather” derbys could be a disaster. They could also be a cheap as heck pickup for someone on a tight budget. It’s hard to tell. That’s why the title of the post you’re reading now is “Steal(?) Alert.”

 

Canvas lace-up sneakers – $23.69 FINAL ($98)

These would be a safer bet than the leather bluchers. It’s kinda hard to screw up canvas sneakers. But final sale means final. No returns or exchanges. And shoe fit can be wonky from brand to brand/person to person, so buying final sale shoes sight unseen is always mega risky.

 

Short-sleeve slub dobby shirts – $23.39 FINAL ($98)

Three colors. 98% cotton / 2% elastane. Short sleeve button ups in a slub yarn which works both now as well as into the fall.

 

Utility jacket – $44.99 FINAL ($210)

A basic M-65 style field jacket. Looks a little shorter than the traditional length of a true M65. Side tabs at the waist in the back for dialing in the fit.
