Sales that deserve some attention heading into the weekend or a bit earlier. Might not be some massive once a year event, but still worth a look. Those are what make up these handfuls. Five of the better sales, one for each finger, are below, plus bonus sales if need be. Included are a few picks worth pointing out.
The Pick: Merlot Mcallisters w/ Leather Sole – $157.60 ($395)
Big thanks to Pedro S. for sending in the style tip on this one. As of post time, there are Merlot Mcallisters (reg. sole) in 9.5, 11, 11.5, 12, and 14 D. But those are gonna quick. Other merlot styles are up for this deal too, but priced a touch higher. Don’t expect these things to last long.
Now, that’s 40% off the “valued at” price. So shocked you should not be if/when they dip even lower in the future. But it’s good to see some strong fall arrivals hitting the internet shelves. And super happy to see they brought back their blue tweed sportcoat from last year. Meanwhile, they’re introducing a new, machine washable cotton blend sweater. Cotton, nylon, and merino wool is what makes up the mix. Haven’t been hands on with one yet, but here’s hoping these aren’t full on replacing their usual all merino sweaters.

The anniversary sale might be over, but seasonal items are starting to roll into the good ol’ sale section at Nordstrom. And since it’s Nordstrom, even sale/clearance items ship and return for free. Might be worth a spin through. Those Jack Mason watches have a lot of good looks, but not quite the goods (movement, crystal, etc.) for full price. But at 40% off or even half off? Sure thing.
The Pick: The Players Shirt – $56.25 ($75)
That’s a lot of coin for a polo shirt, but more than a few fellas out there swear by these things. Four button placket gives it a sporty yet refined look. Collar stays help keep the collar fresh and crisp. Plus the buttoned chest pocket is a nice touch. It’s a splurge, but at least it ships for free. Meanwhile, they’re running a final sale event as well. Sizes are pretty scattered in there, but it might be worth a shot.
Nice to see some of the collaboration with Todd Snyder collection has made it into their sale section. Cole Haan quality can be a little suspect, sometimes, but when their stuff goes on sale and then you can apply an extra code like this, it usually seems to be a solid bargain.
Not a sale (they don’t do that hardly ever), but still worth a mention. And it’s not just their suits that are up for pre order either. Outerwear, sportcoats, shoes, and more.
