BR/GAP/Old Navy 40% off + Free 2 Day Shipping

B.R./GAP/ON 40% off + 2 Day Shipping at $50+ w/ TREAT

So the bad news first. There are plenty of exclusions. BR Picks are out, as is anything that’s 100% cashmere. For GAP, leather and suede apparel/accessories don’t get the cut either. But Jeans sure appear to. Old Navy Exclusions are the “Everyday steals/Hot Deals” labeled stuff.

The good news? There’s still plenty to pick from, AND… they’re bumping shipping speed up to free 2-day for anything over fifty bucks. Remember, that’s pre-code, and you can hit that threshold by crossing brands in your shopping cart. The code TREAT expires today, 5/2/16. Off we go…

Banana Republic “Paul” Penny Loafer – $88.80 ($148)

Once again, BR has combined soft, flexible leather that doesn’t look cheap, with a sleek but not pointy shape, for a shoe that looks much better than its price tag when on sale. Sold out in the cognac shade shown above, but they do have a good amount of sizes left in “Tan” and a dark brown “Fudge” shade. Full review here.

B.R. Slim Garment-Dyed Linen/Cotton Pant – $47.70 ($79.50)

Cut in their Aiden fit, these things walk the line between dressed up and laid back. Pressed crease but made in a 58% linen / 42% cotton fabric. So perfect for the warmer temps ahead. That “cream” option might look great up against a lightweight sportcoat for any upcoming derby parties this Saturday.

GAP Vintage Wash Feeder Stripe Tee – $14.97 ($24.95)

Just a t-shirt that avoids the “just a t-shirt” blahs. Thin “feeder” stripes plus a pocket at the chest. All cotton. Washed fabric. Couple of colors to pick from. Not a bad item to dump in your cart if you’re close to, but not quite at that $50 shipping threshold.

Banana Republic Italian Leather Briefcase – $118.80 ($198)

It’s back. And thanks to the free 2-day shipping, it can be in your hands within a couple of days .Full review here. Has to be the best $100ish briefcase on the market.

Old Navy Ultimate Slim Built-in Flex Khakis – $24.99 – $39.94

Since these are labeled as an “Everyday Steal” they aren’t up for the 40% off code, but pretty sure you should be able to include them in an order that’ll get to the 2-day shipping threshold? Maybe? Big fan of the color shown above, the de-saturated turquoise color called “seascape”. 3% spandex in these, for a little more stretch than you’d normally expect in a khaki.

GAP White Stretch Jeans in Slim or Straight Fit – $41.97 ($69.95)

2% spandex and 98% cotton for both of these. Just avoid Ketchup, Salsa, Red Wine, etc.

B.R. “Wyatt” Italian Leather Monks – $88.80 – $100.80 ($168)

An oft-mentioned favorite, and for good reason. Yes, they have gone for lower prices during sales and stackable codes, but a hundred bucks seems awfully fair. Available in the burgundy shown here, chestnut, black, or the newly released (and kinda too fashiony for most of us) grey. Full review here.

Old Navy Seersucker Button Down – $17.96 ($29.95)

That pucker helps you keep cool on super hot days. It keeps most of the fabric raised off your skin, so airflow improves. Plus, the texture just looks good with warm weather sportcoats and chinos.

GAP Oxford Large Gingham Short Sleeved Shirt – $23.97 ($39.95)

Yes, you can wear a short sleeved button down instead of a polo. Just make sure the tail doesn’t dip too low on your frame, keep it untucked, and wear it casually with chinos, jeans, or shorts. Perfect for wearing under a lightweight cardigan when the temps dip at night too.

Banana Republic Luxe Touch Solid Polo – $29.70 ($49.50)

Kudos to BR for keeping their logo off of these. Basic, three button placket. Solid colors. Crazy smooth, almost silk like, all cotton fabric.

B.R. Luxe Touch Piped or Chest Stripe Polo – $29.70 ($49.50)

And a couple of alternatives to the solid luxe touch polos. The piped option comes with a welt chest pocket, while the chest stripe doesn’t. Still 100% cotton on both of these. One warning: a reviewer on the Chest Stripe polo said the blue accent color ran/bled in the wash? Strange. Haven’t had that issue with BR luxe touch polos in the past.

Banana Republic Emerson Vintage Straight Chino – $41.70 ($69.50)

The well-loved (despite that branding tag on the arse) BR straight fit “Emerson” chino, but in a couple of unexpected colors. That saturated “dark acorn” shade can be found here.

Gap Stripe “GDry” Performance Polo – $23.97 ($39.95)

Silky, lightweight, and super-breathable. 97% engineered poly and 3% spandex. So springy and flexible too. Think of these things as budget Under Armour polos. Micro mesh/pique texture that doesn’t stick or feel squishy/bulky like cotton pique polos. Size shown is a medium on 5’10” / 185.

GAP Striped “Everyday” Shorts ‘ $26.97 ($44.95)

All cotton with bold stripes. Description says the stripes are white, but they look more like a cream color?

Banana Republic 100% Linen Crew Sweater – $53.70 ($89.50)

One of those sweaters that could be the perfect layer to pack for summer trips. All linen, so you get the coverage of a sweater, but it should breathe like crazy and have that slightly-rough/uneven texture that linen is known for. It’s a crew, so wearing it over a t-shirt will look casual… but also sorta… elegant at the same time? Like you’ve put a little thought into what you’re wearing, even if you’re just kicking around your place while enjoying a drink.

Banana Republic Striped Shawl Sweater – $65.98 FINAL ($140)

Is eighty four friggin’ dollars pretty pricey for a cotton sweater? Yes. Is this thing noticeably good quality, soft but not spongy, and super comfortable all while sportin’ a couple of pretty slick stripes? Also, that’s a yes. It’s not cheap, but it’s a winner.

Old Navy 100% Linen Pants – $25.76 ($42.94)

Hmmmm. On the one hand, all linen pants, especially in an off-white shade like these, are perfect for when it gets blistering hot. On the other hand. This is Old Navy. What are the chances these pants are a little too translucent?

Old Navy Jersey Henley Tee – $8.96 ($14.94)

More interesting than a plain tee, while it doesn’t dip as low as many a v-neck. Contrasting sleeves and placket keep it looking more like a casual short sleeve shirt and less like underwear. Cheap. Very cheap.

GAP OCBD – $29.97 ($49.95)

Even before UNIQLO upset many of its customers by monkeying with their OCBDs, plenty were claiming that GAP actually had the best OCBD on the market. Can’t imagine that these things are as slim as the old UNIQLO slims, but the price is solid, plus buying two = free shipping. Six different shades to pick from, plus that classic oxford weave and button down collar.

Old Navy Slim-Fit Linen-Blend 10″ Shorts – $12 – $16.80 ($20-$28)

Shorts season is nearing, if not already here. 10″ inseam seems to work for most frames. 55% cotton / 45% linen and friggin’ cheap with the 40% off code.

Banana Republic “Wesley Penny” Boat Shoe – $64.80 ($108)

Could be a casual winner for the summer. Suede instead of the standard, smooth leather seen on most boat shoes. Light colored rubber outsole. Penny strap across the vamp. UPDATE: Strange, code isn’t working on these, but they aren’t labeled as a BRPICK? Thanks to Eric M. for the heads up!

This 40% off + Free 2-Day shipping at $50 code TREAT expires today, 5/2/16. And don’t forget to select 2-day shipping at checkout if you hit that $50 threshold. Pretty sure it defaults to a slower shipping method, and you have to manually switch it.
