Sunday Steal: 40% off Brooks Brothers Shoes & Accessories

40% off Shoes & Accessories at Brooks Brothers (exp. 12/6)

Sneaky Brooks Brothers. Verrrrry sneaky. It’s the final day of their 5 Days of Giving promotion, and they’re running what might be the most tempting deal on a Sunday.

Looks like there are a good amount of exclusions for this thing (Filson, Red Wing, etc…) but the Allen Edmonds for Brooks Brothers line is a go for 40% off, as is much of their Made in England Peal & Co. stuff. They’re also offering free standard shipping on all orders, which is a big deal since Brooks Brothers shipping can be steep. No code needed here. Prices are as marked on their site. Off we go with the picks…

Allen Edmonds for Brooks Brothers Cap-Toes – $256.80 ($368)

Pretty much the Park Ave. Only here, you get a “free” rubber sole with some tread, while still remaining slim. Conservative for sure, but timeless. A perfect job interview shoe.

Peal & Co. Burgundy or Black Medallion Wholecuts – $388.80 ($698)

Good gracious. Those are Uncle Jesse “Have Mercy” worthy shoes. Made in England and Goodyear welted. Wholecuts with a medallion at the toe. Impossibly sleek looking.

Cedar Shoe Valet + Starter Kit – $76.80 ($128)

Made in the USA Valet, horse-hair brushes, daubers, and some shoe creme. Not a bad kit to keep your shoe collection looking its best. Full review here.

Allen Edmonds Medallion Cap Toes w/ Rubber Sole – $256.80 ($428)

And now we have what amounts to the AE for Brooks Brothers version of Strands. Available in a bunch of widths too. Available in black, brown, or the walnut pictured above. Sizes are a bit scattered in the regular brown, but there seems to be plenty of walnut and black.

Allen Edmonds Single Monks w/ Rubber Sole – $256.80 ($428)

Pretty much the Warwrick, only with a slightly different insole and a thin rubber sole for grip. Just walnut and black available on the Brooks Brothers site. Hard to find marked down, let alone for 40% off. Full review of the Warwick can be found here. Extremely tempting at this price.

Canvas Soft Briefcase – $208.80 ($348)

A little more refined than the Filson Original Brief (which is excluded from this 40% off deal), but still not too stuffy for a casual workplace. Dimensions are  16½” x 12½” x 4″. It’s “Imported” so… who knows on quality?

Burgundy Made in the USA Chukkas – $238.80 ($398)

Slim rubber tread on the soles for grip. Boy, those look just like the new Dundee 2.0 from Allen Edmonds. And they very well could be (almost certainly?) are. Yet Allen Edmonds doesn’t offer that shade of leather for their Dundee. And if you want a v-tread tap sole through AE, that’ll run you an extra $40. So all in all, not a bad price when you figure in those factors. Just D width sizes available.

Harris Tweed Card Case – $40.80 ($68)

Basic design made from an unexpected material. Leather structure of course, but that exterior in the subtle green/greyish look of Harris tweed is a nice design. Free shipping here helps big time.

Made in the USA Quarter Brogues – $256.80 ($428)

If you think the Park Ave. is too plain, but the Strand is too wild, then here’s the middle ground. Pretty much the AE Fifth Ave, only… again, with a slim rubber sole for grip and a Poron insole for extra cushioning.

Suede Crepe Sole Boots – $340.80 ($568)

Suspiciously similar to the Alden for J. Crew suede boots made a few seasons back. Goodyear welted and Made in the USA. Crepe sole on these.

Made in Germany Business Card Case – $58.80 ($98)

Keeping your business cards clean and dog-eared free. Made in Germany. 3″ x½” x 4″

Made in Italy Single Monks – $268.80 ($448)

Not made by Allen Edmonds, but instead made in Italy. A bit slimmer and sleeker looking than the Warwick? Also these come in a medium, super versatile shade of brown. Simple cap toe and a higher placed buckle.

Cashmere Knit Gloves – $58.80 ($98)

Super soft cashmere in a more casual, knit glove. Leather palms help with grip in the cold. Also available in navy.

Lawyers Brief in Small – $538.80 ($898) or Large – $568.80 ($948)

Whoa. A thing of old-time beauty. But not as functional as many would probably like. It’s a briefcase in its purest form. No Shoulder strap. Just that top handle, so if you do a bunch of on-foot commuting, know that going in.

Brooks Bros. Clubmaster, Navigator, Rect. Sunglasses – $57.00 ($98)

Most (all?) Brooks Brothers brand sunglasses are made in China, and while the quality isn’t mind blowing, they’re sturdy enough for the style that they bring. Nice striped accents and decently placed branding. And hits that sweet spot of not luxury designer shades, yet not gas station beaters either. Those Clubmasters are down right Klopp-ish.

This 40% off Shoes & Accessories, fifth and final day of the Brooks Brothers “5 Days of Giving” promotion expires, wait for it, at the end of today, 12/6/15.
