Steal Alert: Banana Republic Traveler Jeans are on Sale

B.R. Traveler Jeans in Rinse, Indigo, or Grey – $88 ($118)

Boy, it’s hard to call an $88 pair of jeans a “steal,” but the Traveler Jean from Banana Republic isn’t just any ordinary pair of denim. And not because it hardly ever goes on sale.

They’re a true slim jean, but unlike regular denim, they’re absurdly soft and flexible. Some would balk when reading that they’re 79% Cotton, 19% Polyester, and 2% Polyurethane, but that Japanese created blend really does give them a ridiculous amount of elasticity.

For example:

And… the obligatory nightmare fuel:

Right. They’re flexible. Very flexible. Full review can be found here. Despite the funky fabric makeup, you can machine wash them, and the color seems to hold up really well over time.

Dark rinse (shown above), Indigo, and Grey are currently down to $88 during Banana Republic’s “up to” 40% off pants and jeans promo. No, not 40% off everything. Up to. It works out to about 25% off on the traveler jeans selection, but at least that’s something. These things are almost always excluded, and didn’t even get the cut during the most recent Friends & Family sale. Also available in black and tan for an extra $2. Not sure why those are $90 and not $88.

Many thanks to Jim K. for sending in the style tip on this rare sale.

Also shown in the nightmare fuel .gif: Wingtip Boots by JCP (they’re the old Camlins, but the Deacon is back), Camel Coat from Banana Republic (last season), Gloves by Orvis (currently unavailable), 3rd leg by RHCP (kinda NSFW)
