Big thanks to Brandon, Jake, and Eric for sending in the tips on this sale. True, it’s been a while since Lands’ End got some play here on this tiny corner of the internet. But they’ve been a bit stingy with codes. There have been some codes for only full priced items, but those aren’t so useful during clearance season when most of their site is on sale. But 30% off, sitewide, with FAMILY30 & 1511 is about as good as it gets for them.
They also seem like they’re going through a bit of a transition now. Both seasonally, and in terms of fit & style. They don’t even make mention of the all but defunct “Canvas” brand on the main site menu anymore, yet some of their more traditional pieces claim more tailored fits.

The Lands’ End Year Rounders are extremely well reviewed and a staple for plenty. Made from Australian merino wool. Cut in a trimmer silhouette, yet still plenty appropriate for a conservative office. Six shades, and you can get em’ hemmed (cuffed or uncuffed) within a 1/4″.
Hard to get cheaper than that for made in the USA jeans. 628 Straight has traditionally fit like a 501. VERY old review of the LEC Made in the USA jeans over here.
Casual for sure but with more texture than most. Big fan of the colorblock crew “sweatshirt” style in the pewter and cream color scheme. Both come in a welcomed slimmer fit. Both originally $79.
Sizes are a bit scattered on these and seem to be moving quick. Fit is going to be spot on for many. Sleeve buttons are non-functional but there is some tonal accent stitching around them (should be easy to ignore if you have to bring up the sleeves a bit and lose a button). Patch pockets. 95% wool and 5% nylon shell. BUT… It’s fully lined in polyester. Sleeve lining is a poly rayon blend, but overall the lining feels a bit cheap. Color in person leans more towards the green side of “aged olive” than grey. Still, an awfully nice blazer for $91. Many thanks to Jake D. for sending in a style tip on how these blazers have dipped under a hundred bucks.
Springy. Both in look and feel. Elastic around the back, brass and leather up front. Nice roller style on that buckle too.
75% nylon / 25% cotton exterior with a 100% cotton body. Shades of a Belstaff jacket with the design. There is a small branding patch on the lower left pocket. Side tabs at the back for a more fitted look. Also available in brown.
Interesting. 59% cotton and 41% linen utility-style pants in a slim fit. Seems like the kind of thing to wear around the house on a lazy, warm summer evening with a lightweight polo and boat shoes or sneakers. That’s quite a bit of linen in the mix. Might be a real winner.
Not as slim through the toe as J. Crew’s Kenton Suede bucks, but nowhere near as expensive either. Frankly, dirt cheap. A classic. Comes with an extra pair of laces in a brighter color. Should look great at summer weddings / outdoor parties.
SLIM. Careful with these. These’ll cut circulation off for dudes with some meat on their legs. Also, ignore those cuffs. These allegedly don’t have cuffs at all, but were instead just flipped up to look more trendy in the shots. 100% combed (brushed, so, sorta flannel-like soft) cotton.
Y’know, of all the wacky patchwork madras shirts and cotton polos that come out in the spring & summer, this pair, with its more muted, icy tones, might actually work. Maybe. For some. With a navy polo and white sneakers? Sure.
Nylon so they’ll dry quickly, but nylon in an oxford weave. Side tabs with a bit of elastic on the back side. 3-piece liner. Great shade too. Swim trunks can get expensive, so mid $30s isn’t half bad.
Looks like they took the styling of a leather cafe-style racing jacket, and made it out of a saturated denim. Lined in chambray. Got killed in the reviews for being cut too small/tight, but by the looks of those reviews, they might not be used to the slimmer Lands’ End Canvas style of cut? Still, might want to order a size up if you’re in-between sizes.
Again, careful with this 608 slim fit. It’s a true slim. Dense cotton twill with jean-style patch pockets on the rear. Two different, but not insane colors. The “vintage brick” is running short on size selection, but the “mineral blue” is a nice looking shade and has plenty of sizes left.
Sportcoat addicts unite! Here’s one way to keep the sportcoat/blazer look going even if you’re taking the dog for a walk in 30 degree weather. Sidevents in the rear. Insulated. Thanks to Jake D. for the heads up on how low the price has dropped on these.
Y’know… it’s less about the existence of a banana hammock on the usually conservative feeling Lands’ End website, and more about the fact that this is how the picture for a full zip neoprene jacket has been styled. It just looks a little… unbalanced. Long sleeve mock neck top with a bit of compression… and then swim briefs. That’s it. That’s the list. You do you of course. And hey, add some flip flops, and you’ve completed the shirt + shoes requirement, so, WHO’S UP FOR FRO-YO?!?
A little on the pricey side, but from their slimmer leaning Lands’ End Canvas line (or, what’s left of it). Has potential, and allegedly isn’t as rumpled/casual as you may expect. Might look good under a lightweight blazer with a light blue chambray tie in the spring?
A twill Barracuda cut in the classic design, only with a blackwatch pattern to boost its look.
Running out of time to wear these… unless you’re buried up to your eyeballs in snow, and won’t see it all melt until sometime in May. Warm. Soft without being velvet fuzzy, or with the velvet shine.
All cotton straight-fit chinos in six different spring-ready colors. Nice thing about these (and most other Lands’ End pants) is that you can get them cuffed, or uncuffed, and hemmed within a quarter of an inch to your tastes.
