What’s Dappered Threads? It’s our forum. Launched in 2011, Threads has become a not too big, not too small, just-right-sized forum that doesn’t put up with snobbery. All thanks to the users and hardworking mods. Once a month, one of the mods from Threads provides us with a highlight package of the last few weeks.
If your budget only allows for one top coat this season, which way do you lean? Charcoal or camel? There are numerous arguments in favor of either choice which makes for a tough decision. Fortunately, Dappered Threads members are more than willing to weigh in on the the pros and cons and help break down the decision for you.
Let’s be honest, unless you’re Justin Timberlake pulling off a proper hat in style is no easy task. This week’s challenge asked members to put together their best outfit highlighted with a hat. User Shomas knocked it out of the park with his Stetson paired with a Schott leather jacket, Banana Republic sweater, Ratio shirt, Uniqlo jeans, and Alden shoes. Check out all of the entries here.
User Jairus recently stumbled upon a vintage pair of Florsheim Imperials in wonderful shape. With a quick application of shoe cream and a trip to the cobbler to soften the heels, these pebble grain longwings for $20 are tough to beat!
With Holiday parties around the corner, Threads members contemplate the allure of splurging on a velvet piece this season. There are several factors to consider when splurging on a such a non-versatile item like a velvet blazer, including color, lapel style, etc. Can the right velvet jacket be worth the plunge?
