5 Favorites – Sabir M. Peele of Men’s Style Pro

5 Favorites from Men’s Style Pro Sabir M. Peele

Sure it’s just stuff.  But stuff can make life easier, more enjoyable, etc… Every so often we ask one of our favorite people to rattle off their five favorite things.  This is the stuff they’d grab if the house was burning down.

Ever since he won the title of fan favorite in Esquire’s 2010 Best Dressed Real Man competition, Sabir Peele has been on a tear.  His website, MensStylePro.com is growing like mad, he’s been featured all over the place, and Johnston & Murphy recently tapped him to help show off their new McPherson shoe line.  Success, thy name is Sabir…

Although, you’d never hear him say that, since he’s one of the humble few out there who can balance trends, high end fashion, and affordable, down-to-earth-classic style all at once.  His five favorites reflect that.

#1. Blackberry 9800 Torch

“Yes, I am probably the only person in the world or that I know that hasn’t made the switch to an iPhone or Android phone.  I’ve been a loyal Blackberry user since 2006 and I plan to remain one until they tell me I’m not allowed to be one anymore.  The email format is perfect on the go and I use this particular 9800 Torch model.  It makes it very easy to make any updates to Men’s Style Pro or any of my other social media sites.  Also, to be honest, I need buttons!  This phone mixes the full touch screen with the ability to still hit the keys (because I am stylish caveman at heart).”

#2. L’oreal Men’s Expert Hydra-Energetic Anti-stress & Fatigue Moisturizer

“I have pretty dry skin.  For me, finding the right moisturizer was important because I am frequently photographed for my site and plus I hate having a dry flaky face (it’s not an attractive trait).  I picked up this moisturizer for $3 at a local CVS by using that trusty CVS card.  This is one of the first over-the-counter facial moisturizers that I’ve tried that isn’t oily and isn’t expensive.  It works well to calm your skin after a close shave too.  So, man up and get some face moisturizer.”

.

#3  Frank & Oak Tie – $25.00

“I can honestly say I wore this tie for a week straight once I got it in the mail.  Frank & Oak has some great stuff all for $50 or less and this has to be one my favorite items I’ve gotten from them.  This is one of 5 ties that I own that make a perfect 4-in-hand knot every time I tie it and it’s 100% silk.”

.

#4  Giorgio Brutini Medallion Cap Toe Oxford – $69.95

“I’m pretty sure I found out about these shoes because of Dappered(Editor’s Note:  No, I didn’t put him up to saying that.  But, many thanks for the mention Sabir…) I wear brown shoes the majority of the time and these were calling out to me.  It really helped that DSW recently mailed me $10 off for my birthday and I accrued $10 in shopping dollars.  Digging a little deeper, I found a free shipping code (SHIPR), making my final price $44.  The silhouette on this shoe is modern and sleek, so they really complement my suits.  I’d suggest considering going a half size down.  They run a little long for my liking, and I even particularly like my shoes longer.”

.

#5  Onassis Clothing Port Red Cotton/Linen Blazer – $168.00 (currently unavailable)

“For the past year, I’ve been looking for that standout type of double-breasted blazer.  If you followed Men’s Style Pro, you know that I am a huge fan of the Onassis Clothing brand.  They finally released a “db” that caught my eye.  My only reservation is that it is unvented, however; the blazer is cropped.  The cropping made all the difference in the world and made this my favorite/standout db.  This blazer travels wells and the cotton linen fabric is extremely light.”
