Style Debate: Jorts… on women.

Above:  Banana Republic’s Rolled Denim Short – $69.50

As a man, if you wear jean shorts you’ll be labeled by many as a style buffoon.  A slobOut of touch.  They had their heyday, but wearing a pair of shorts made of thicker denim, a fabric originally intended as workwear, on a hot day seems uncomfortable.  The next step on the scale of garment oddity coupling  would be shorts made from a tweedy flannel.  Strange.

But if a woman slides her gams into a pair of denim shorts?  It’s no longer quite so clear.

Worked then.  Still works now.  Maybe it ain’t the paint, but the canvas.

The (most) correct answer would be a light beach/sundress… but are denim shorts as big of a miss on a woman as they are on a man?  Is it a look you wouldn’t mind seeing more of?  To the comments fellas…
