Would you wear it? The on sale Red Wing Wabasha

Red Wing Wabasha Chukka – $88.00$139.90 in size E (reg. $220)

Another Franken-boot that looks a little like the Sebago Beacon.  Only unlike the Varvatos that hit the site last week, these aren’t a measly $45.00.

Red Wing is one of those heritage brands that people soil their shorts over.  And for good reason.  Incredible quality, made in the USA, and those “work is our work” radio ads that feature someone that sounds a lot like Sam Elliott (is that Sam?)

Reduced to $140 via Nordstrom, but (and it’s a huge but) only available in size E.  If you’ve got a regular to wider sized foot, but don’t venture into “E” territory, try a size down.  That should (should) work.  For even cheaper through Amazon if you get lucky and your size is available in the color you want.  Worth a look if you’re seriously interested.

The pics available on Nordstrom.com are a bit messed up.  Click on the Mahogany or Amber pair, and you’re treated to nothing more than a shot from the sole.  The shots above were grabbed from Amazon.

But would you wear them?  And would you really wear them often enough to justify dropping the $140?  Leave your answer in the comments below.

The Wabasha in Russet.  $139.90 through Nordstrom.
