Would you carry it? The half off Jack Spade Card Case

Jack Spade Leather Checkerboard Card Case – $49.00* ($110)

*Seems to only be available through Gilt under the “First Look: Fall” sale, sub category shoes & accessories.
**Full Disclosure as usual.  Click here for how we benefit from you joining Gilt through Dappered.

Jack Spade is a brand that has mastered the tweak.  Take something traditional like a card case or a soft work bag, and change it just enough by way of a modern twist to make it stand out.

With the color scheme of a Scrabble board from the Polk administration, this card case still somehow manages to look contemporary thanks to its clean lines and smooth leather.

On sale through Giltman for just under $50, it’s more than half off but still not cheap.  Jack Spade stuff is usually (if not always?) made overseas, so if you want something that’s made a little closer to home try the Saddleback Leather small wallet.  Word is Saddleback products are usually made in Mexico from American cattle leather.  No pattern on those though, and you lose a bit of the sleekness thanks to the ID window.  At least it’s not plastic covered, so points to Saddleback there.  That… and it’s $20 less.

Back to the Jack Spade.  Would you carry it?  Or is it a little too busy for your tastes?  Leave your take below.

The thicker, tougher, and plain alternative from Saddleback.  Under $30 with a 100 year warranty.
