Brooks Brothers Summer Clearance 2011

Didn’t Brooks Brothers just have a big sale?  Sure did.  But their summer clearance has marked down plenty of items that didn’t get the discount axe back in June.

If you’re looking for dress shirts, some of their selections are half off, while others are 30% off or buy one get one (buy two get 50% off).  Sizes are all over the place with the shirts, so we’ll steer clear of those.  A reminder, it’s Brooks Brothers, so even on clearance it can get expensive real quick.

Peal and Co. Suede Perforated Medallion Oxfords – $244.00 ($488)
That right there is anything but cheap.

For the real shoe hogs out there.  Made in England by the legendary Peal and Co.  Closed lacing, welted sole, all that good stuff that you’d expect from a $500 shoe.  Now half off.

Brooks Brothers #2 Stripe Knit Tie – $39.75 ($79.50)
Classic Brooks Brothers.

As good as a knit prep tie gets.  Seven different color combinations all from Italian Silk that was shipped here to the good ol’ USA to be made into ties.  Expected 2 1/4″ width.

Brooks Brothers Calfskin Slim Card Case – $31.20 ($78.00)
Does the job, looks good doing so.

The minimalists card case with a subtle stamped tonal logo.  All business, real inexpensive.

Brooks Brothers Mini Check Bomber – $84.00 ($168)
Cotton and light.

A light jacket should be a low investment.  When they say mini check they mean it.  Tiny red checks look somewhat pink from a distance (so you best be okay with pink.)  Not a utility/military jacket by any means.

Brooks Brothers Madras Pocket Squares – $10.00
Perfect for showing a sliver of color.

Ten bucks?  That’s down to Lands’ End Canvas levels.  There’s still plenty of summer left to use these to push color into your blazers.  Feel free to wear them into early fall too.

Brooks Brothers Milano Fit Plaid Suit – $598.80 ($998)
Steep in price, long on good looks.

Six-hundred bucks?  Steep.  But, if you’re the type who wears suits all the time and wants a splurge, this might be it.  The Brooks Brothers Milano fit is an honest to goodness slim fit.  Incredible looking pattern, and for what it’s worth, the buttons are worth noting too.  Saxxon Wool woven in the USA and the suit is made in Italy.

Peal and Co. Chelseas – $264.00 ($528)
"Money can't buy me love." But it can buy these.

Ending with how we started.  Way… way out of reach even at $264 for most.  Made in England, incredible shape, and the quality should be second to none.  Half off.

The Brooks Brothers Summer Clearance Sale is happening in stores as well.  No word on when it comes to an end.
