Style Scenario – The Lazy Saturday Morning Coffee Date

What are you going to wear?  Sometimes there’s an easy answer.  Sometimes not.  Sometimes it’s good to look at a few suggestions then add your own tweaks and ideas.  That’s what these are for.  All designed to get you in some stuff that’ll make you look and feel great, then get you out the door and off to do things other than thinking about your clothes.  Look for these with no regularity.  Want to suggest a scenario?  Send those in here.
.

The Shoes: Sebago Beacon – potentially as low as $40 (reg. $130)
Nice at $130. Really nice at $40.

First, here’s how the deal works:  1. Get a $80 credit at Bonobos for $40 through Gilt City.  It’s like Groupon, and since Bonobos is online only you don’t have to live in any of the “cities” to buy or cash it in.

2. If you’re a first time Bonobos customer, you can get $50 off $100 by signing up for their email list over here. The Gilt City voucher is a gift certificate, and the code goes in their promo code box.  Both were working together earlier.  Shoes are $130 – $50 (new customer offer) = $80.  Which you get for $40 thanks to the Gilt City certificate.

And second, the shoes look pretty good (in a different kinda way) too.

The Pants: Your favorite jeans, or, The BR 5 Pocket Straight Fit Pant – $69.50
Up to you and your climate.

Your favorite jeans are just fine for a bleary eyed cup of coffee and the paper.  If it’s too warm for denim, but still a cool morning, opt for the very jean like(without the weight) BR 5 pocket in the lighter clay color.  These pants are ridiculously comfortable and have done quite well in the pants palooza.

The Shirt: J. Crew Factory striped button down oxford – $29.50
Striped, and just fine with jeans or the BR 5-pocket

Just a shirt you can throw on and go.  Button down collar makes sure your collar points aren’t flying all outside the neck of the sweater you’ll layer on top.  Speaking of…

The Sweater:  L.E.C. Slub Jersey Crewneck – $29.50
Navy great with both, orange a a nice change for denim.

Remember, this is weekend coffee not a Mom’s Day Brunch so a crew will look terrific.  Somewhere between a thin layering tee and a sweatshirt, this thing is perfect for layering on TOP of the oxford.  Navy should do fine with the jeans, but don’t be afraid to go with the other (even orange) options.  Ships free w/ code VIBRANT & pin 8242 (exp. 5/23.)

The Watch:  Seiko Cream Dial Chronograph – $135.99
42mm. So far from tiny.

Feel free to swap out the black leather band for a brown leather or canvas one.  You’re supposed to match your leathers, and a black leather strap will look a little off with the brown shoes.  Not automatic but quartz, cream colored dial, great hands, and a chronograph to time your 2 hour meter out front of the cafe.

Suggestions for potential upcoming Style Scenarios can be sent in right over here…
