Five stereotypically “Girly” things even guys should do

What a lot of these fraidy-bros fail to realize, is that women not only don’t care if guys do some of these stereotypically “girly” things… many women are actually glad when men do. No one is arguing for you to go out and get a pedicure and a hot rock massage. These are all simple, quick things that’ll have you looking and feeling better than you otherwise would.
#1 Tweeze between your eyebrows
The unibrow is one of the last great male style taboos in American culture. And when guys don’t talk about a problem, they either: A. Ignore it, or B. Take care of it the wrong way. So let’s hash it out right now:
- You don’t want a unibrow (see Raven’s QB Joe Flacco before, and after)
- Don’t shave between your eyebrows.
- Don’t go all salon-style and hyper-define them through waxing either.
- Use a tweezers. Esquire explains how here.
#2 Use eye cream before bed: Aveda Green Science Firming Eye Cream – $41.00
Don’t laugh. Ever use chap-stick? Same basic reasoning. The cliché is that your eyes are the windows to your soul. Just so happens that the skin under those eyes are the windows to your bad habits. Stay out too late or have one too many drinks and it’ll show up under your eyes. Rubbing a little eye cream under each eye before bed will help prevent you from looking a decade or two older than you are. Although expensive, Aveda is worth it, and that’s speaking from personal experience. Aveda eye cream kept me from looking half dead while I was working a job that required the alarm to go off at 3:30 am every day. Need something cheaper? Look for a moisturizer that has Taurine in it. Like this stuff from Nivea.
#3 Drink more water: Klean Kanteen Stainless Steel Bottle – $14.92
Why are the ladies always the one walking around with filled up nalgenes or smart-water bottles? You don’t have to lug a water bottle around or wear a camel-back all day. Just drink a full glass of water before every meal. You’ll eat less, feel full faster, lose some junk weight, and your skin will even look better. So drink up. And if you do want to carry a water bottle around with you (say at the gym), stainless steel works well. Just don’t blow through a flat of plastic water bottles each week. That’s not good for you, or the environment.
#4 Carry an umbrella if it’s going to rain: Totes Gentleman’s Umbrella – $16.00
Your umbrella doesn’t have to be pink, polka dotted, or frilly. There are plenty of manly umbrellas out there. Like this one, which would never be confused with a parasol. Refuse to carry an umbrella on a rainy day and you’ll end up with a soaked skull. Which, to some might be a sign of manliness. To others, it’s just plain dumb.
#5 Take a little pride in your underwear: The Sloggi Trunk – $25.00 for Two
I used to be a loud and proud supporter of tightey whiteys. And sure, there are a handful of women out there who think they’re cute on grown men, but if you’re single and, uh…”looking,” you might not want to take that chance. You don’t want to be getting hot and heavy with some lovely young thing, clothes start coming off, and while she’s in something incredible… you’re standing there in what amounts to the male version of the 18-hour bra. Here’s the solution: The Sloggi Euro Styled Trunk. At $25 for two, they’re reasonable compared to the competition. They come in great color combos, and unlike almost every other trunk, they’re available in exact sizes instead of small, medium and large. Sure you can still mainly rely on your briefs. But for date night? Wear these instead.
