As always, it’s incredibly tough to peg when Macy’s will launch a One Day Sale.  Sometimes a month and a half will go by between them, sometimes only a few weeks will pass.  One thing is certain: These are sales worth paying attention to.   The one-day sale prices are some of the best mark downs in the retail industry.  Here’s some of the best from the One-Day-Sale which runs Tuesday December 7th – Wednesday December 8th.   Know that we’ve only picked items with a wide range of sizes.

Victorinox Swiss Army Chrono Classic – $199 (reg. $325)

Whoa.  So it’s a Victorinox, has a chronograph, a great lighter brown band with white contrast stitching and a black (not matching tonal brown) dial?  That’s a hell of a deal.  Looks like Macy’s isn’t making it available on the web, but it’s under a $199 “Price Break” section in the Macy’s mailer (see page 32).  Print off if you have to.  Look for it at this price in store.

14k Gold 1/3 ct. Total Weight Diamond Floral Shaped Earrings – $399 (reg. $800)

If your wife or girlfriend loves intricate, antique looking jewelery as opposed to the flashy modern stuff, she’ll be impressed with these.  Expensive at $400, but I’ve seen them in person and they’re a gasp giver.  Department store diamond quality can vary.  Greatly.  So if you can, get to the store if you’re buying these.

Club Room Cashmere Sweater – $59.99 (reg. $150)

Cashmere rarely gets more inexpensive than this.  A warning though, Macy’s Club Room label can sometimes be cut a little more roomy than most of us would like.  Still $60 for a sweater though.

Tommy Hilfiger Trim Fit Grey Sharkskin – $224.98 (reg. $525)

It might be time to do away with the term “sharkskin,” and instead stick with worsted wool.  Sharkskin suits invoke images of shiny almost reflective suits.  This one thankfully doesn’t do that.  Light gray and better looking in person than it looks on Macys.com, which in the pics the model appears to be wearing a jacket one size too big.  These are suit separates, so… don’t forget the pants.

Alfani RED Knit Stripe and Solid Slim Tie with Tie bar – $19.99 (reg. $45)

Two basics every guy should have on standby.  Feel free to wear the knit tie with a blazer and jeans.

Dockers D1 Slim Fit Soft Khaki – $29.99 (reg. $52.00)

When dockers released their D1, D2, and D3 pants, it was the first real major evolution of their classic khakis.  The D1 is the slimmest fit.  May be too slim for some.
