The Splurge – Ralph Lauren Suede Patch Merino Cardigan

Ralph Lauren Suede-Patch Merino Cardigan – $119.99 $89.99 (reg. $165)

Credit to John for mentioning in the comments that it’s now an extra 25% off with free shipping

Over a hundred bucks for a sweater is pushing it.  But here’s a few points for rationalizing a one-sweater purchase of over $100, $90

1. It’s on sale.  Marked down by $45.
2. It comes in a ton of different colors.
3. It’s a cardigan, so, it wears more like something between a sweater and a blazer.
4. The fabric is Italian Merino Wool.
5. The suede patches on the elbows are pretty sweet.
6. And if you’re going to wear a logo?  Might as well be the Ralph Lauren Pony.

Again, it’s $120.  And for a sweater that’s steep.  So if you don’t have the cash, don’t even think about it.  But there’s a fine line between cool and elderly when it comes to cardigans.  And this particular button up isn’t one your Grandpa would wear.*

*Unless your Grandpa is incredibly well dressed.  And if he is?  Good for you.
