This is a new one for Gilt.  They’ve hitched their wagon to one of the best dressed, coolest characters on the planet, and in return he gets his new movie promoted and helps out a great cause.

George Clooney’s new assassin thriller “The American” opens on Wednesday, and Gilt is doing a sale that will feature styles from the flick.  Here’s some of the preview Text from Giltman.com:

Now to me, that sounds like it’s less a style sale, and more a memorabilia sale.  Will only the suits Clooney wore while shooting the film in Italy be made available?  Or will similar designs for his suits, shoes, and briefcase also be up for grabs?  And did the original script call for the story to really take place in Italy?  Or did Clooney just want to take a long vacation at his Lake Como Villa, and knock out a movie on the side?

He did film parts of Ocean’s 12 there.

The sale launches Wednesday at Noon ET.  The Movie opens the same day.
