Macy’s One Day Sale Picks – July 16 – 17, 2010

Macy’s July One Day Sale Picks – July 16 – 17, 2010

As always, it’s incredibly tough to peg when Macy’s will launch a One Day Sale.  Sometimes a month and a half will go by between them, sometimes only a few weeks will pass.  One thing is certain:  These are sales worth paying attention to.  The one-day sale prices are some of the best mark downs in the retail industry.  Here’s five of the best from the One-Day-Sale which runs Friday July 16th – Saturday July 17th.  Know that we’ve only picked items with a wide range of sizes.
.

Hilfiger Trim Fit Navy Cotton Suit – O.D.S. $194.98 for Jacket and pants (reg. $425.00)

A quality suit under $200.

It’s not too late to invest in a cotton suit.  Especially if it’s a color like this one, which can easily transition deep into the fall.  Just change up the color of your ties to something a little darker once the cool weather hits.  Hilfiger Trim Fit suits aren’t just talking the talk of a more athletic contoured fit.  Like Alfani Red, they walk the walk too.
.

Stacy Adams Madison Boot – O.D.S. $99.99 (reg. $125.00)

About as good as a boot can look.

Now that’s a boot for the guy who wants something with a little more panache than a plain old desert boot.  Perforated cap toe, sleek shape, and a great  reputation.  On Zappos 189 reviews have come in and they’re averaging just under 5 stars.
.

Ties:  Alfani Stripe – O.D.S. $19.99 (reg. $45) | Alfani RED Knit – SALE $19.99 (reg. $45)

For ties, simple is always the way to go.

Solids, stripes, or small dots.  Those are the three types of ties you need to have in your neck-wear arsenal.  Those ties will look sleek, while letting the tailoring of your suit, your shoes, and your watch do the real talking.  Both of these ties do just that.  The silk stripe is more dressed up, while the knit block stripe could even be worn with jeans.
.

Kenneth Cole Textured Money Clip – O.D.S. $23.99 (reg. $35.00)

With just enough detail to be interesting.

Is it as attractive as this over the top expensive money clip from Burberry?  No.  But it’s incredibly affordable, and pretty good looking all at the same time.  I own this exact model, and it’s my go-to for dressed up events.
.

1/2 ct. tw. Diamond Earrings in 14k White Gold – O.D.S. $349.00 (reg. $800.00)

“Wow” earrings.

Y’know what’s better than splurging on your significant other for Christmas?  Doing it in July, and knowing for five months you’ve already got a great present just waiting to get under the tree.  These have just the right amount of drop, they’re a classic shape, and after a field trip taken to specifically check them out, they sparkle pretty well in person.
