Three Perfect Summer Ties

Wool Black & Charcoal Stripe | Wool Navy & White Stripe | Wool Glen Plaid – ALL $15.99

Wool has a unique and incredibly deep texture.  Summer fabrics are understandably on the thin and smooth side.  That difference is precisely why wearing a wool tie during the warmer months looks so good.  It breaks up the homogeneous layers of cotton or linen blends with something that’s rough and thick.  Which is something your standard smooth as glass silk tie can’t do.

Try that Black and Charcoal Bar stripe with a light blue shirt and a pair of almost white or pure white chinos.  The navy tie with the white pinstripe was made to be worn with a khaki colored chino suit.  And the Glen Plaid would go well with a lightly structured navy blazer.

Yes it’s getting hot, but it’s not too hot for wool.  As long as it’s in the form of a necktie and not a sweater.
