Burberry Leather Strap Chronograph – $475.00
Yes it’s too expensive. Yes you’d have to donate a hundred dollars (at least) to your favorite non-profit before you buy this so you could sleep guilt free later that night. Yes it’s a good chunk of your mortgage payment, or maybe even all of your rent.
But look at it.
It’s clean, it’s slick, it’s got amazing texture, and the details are perfect. The face mixes dress and sport, and the case is substantial but not clunky. Classic Crown, rectangular chrono buttons, and the stitching matches the leather which ratchets up the luxury look.
This is a goal watch. A watch you buy yourself after you’ve worked your tail off and accomplished something that’s worth a bit of a reward.
You take good care of it, you enjoy it, and you hand it down as an heirloom.
Then, just maybe, you can rationalize spending half a grand on a timepiece.
