President Obama’s choice of Tuxedo

President Obama Rejects the Bow Tie

And I say good for him.  Details Magazine proclaims President Obama’s “Style Sweet Spot” to be the formal wear he wore to the 13th Annual Human Rights Campaign dinner.  I say good for him for sticking with a classic black, notch lapel, neck-tie tux.  Because frankly, unless you’re George Clooney or Daniel Craig:

It’s tough to pull off the bow tie without looking at the very least a little awkward.

Especially with the President’s ears.  Don’t get me wrong, the guy is a handsome man and I know the ladies love him… but why opt for the bow tie when you’d look like two Chevy Hood Ornaments stacked on top of each other?

The necktie was first class, and an upgrade.  Well done Mr. President.

Now if we could only get him to slim down the jackets on his Hartmarx Suits, and start sporting a plain white pocket square with his daily suit selection.
