When it comes to romance, experiences will always trump stuff.  Therefor, a pair of tickets to a future show at your local outdoor Shakespeare Festival, will be a much better gift than a pile of roses or some uncomfortable Bra she won’t want to wear.

It shows that you want to spend time with her.  Do stuff that’s a little more refined.  But also not boring.  Most outdoor Shakespeare Festivals let you bring in a picnic dinner, your own beer or wine (or both) and the actors are always top notch.  Also, don’t be scared off by the “Shakespeare” in Shakespeare Festivals.  They do more than just Shakespeare.  So if you don’t want to struggle through the old English dialogue you’re sure to be able to find something a little more palatable.
