Started out at $115.  Ouch.  Now down to under $50.  Not GAP sale prices or anything, but sometimes an extra detail like that stripe (or the bright red color) makes something stand out.  In a good way.

Make no mistake.  Paying sixty bucks for a tie is a ton of cash.  But some guys out there appreciate well made ties more than others.  From the Ralph Lauren Black Label line.  Each is 3″ wide with a black background and white dots.  Both are made in Italy with some fancy pants details.

Custom Fit Long Sleeve Cotton Polo – $39.99 ($89.50)

Lean towards earthtones.

Even with the extra 20% off they’re a bit pricey at $40, but there’s so many color options and there’s also plenty of decent sizes left.  That, and it’s their much trimmer “custom” fit.  If you’re in good shape, always look for that.  Otherwise, you risk swimming in just about anything that’s a regular fit from a Ralph Lauren line.

Richmond Quilted Vest – $87.99 ($225)

The key to vests: keep them slim.  And don’t use it as a fashion piece (here’s looking at you big belt buckle.)  Just wear it as an alternative to a light jacket.  That means when you walk inside, and unless it’s unusually cold wherever you’re at, take it off.  The corduroy and suede accents on these help the look out quite a bit.

Nordstrom’s half yearly sale for men is officially over.  And that means they’ve dropped the prices on whatever didn’t sell even further.  What was 30% off, is now 40% or 50% off.

But the best part is, there is a ton of new stuff in their sale section.  Usually the Sale after the Half Year Sale just can’t compete.  This year, thanks to the new additions to the sale section, it’s head and shoulders above.  Might be one of the best kept secrets in Men’s style.  Only items with at least a decent size selection are shown below.

Marc New York Leather Jacket – $224.90 ($450)

Just waiting for someone to stand next to him.

Marc New York is one of those brands that consistently makes good looking gear for a hard to find middle of the road price.  At half off, this becomes a real affordable leather jacket, that’s oddly simple.  No epaulets, no wild pockets, and a stand up collar that’s neither a traditional bomber collar nor one of those band style moto collars.  The one review says it runs a little big through the middle and long in the arms, so size down if you’re questioning.  Is available in some limited tall sizes.

Merrell Wilderness Canyon – $99.90 ($200)

Form plus function for under $100.

Sizes are starting to get scarce, but they’re waterproof, look incredible, and will handle just fine on the trail.  Each pair comes with a couple of different colored laces, which is a nice nod to those who like changing it up.

Ralph Lauren Merino Knit Gloves – $33.90 ($68)

Now an extra $10 off.

Was $45 and now marked down to $34 with the complimentary free shipping.  Hard not to like the navy pair with the contrasting sued up against it.

There seems to be this feeling that Varvatos is one of those designers that can command quite the premium just for his name.  But a suede chukka for under $100 and half off seems like a decent bet.  These do appear to have some burnishing at the toe.  Free shipping and free returns though.

They only dropped the price an additional $20 from where it was during the sale, but now it’s under that magic $200 threshold.  Lots of sizes left.  Would look incredible with a navy suit.

Again, there’s a difference between a calibrate Slim fit and their “Trim” fit.  These slim fits are extra tight through the middle with more modern, smaller collars.  Now under $30.

Thank goodness for the free shipping and returns.  I think most of us would agree that online sunglasses shopping can be real hit or miss.  The Calibrate Navigator has potential, but could look forced.  The pair from Mosley Tribes have that keyhole bridge and come in an unexpected “Army Green.”  Want a plastic pair that’s Wayfarer like without the keyhole?  Calibrate makes a cheap pair of those too.

Brooks Brothers “Old School” Wool Scarf – $48.90 ($98)

Getting excited about a scarf seems pretty silly.  An exception can be made when it comes to these.  Just under $50, so still an investment, but they’re wool, made in Italy, and the stripes / colors are dead on perfect.

Santoni Orrin Cap Toe – $266.90 ($535)

Half off. Still expensive.

Good heavens.  There’s a little funk with the stitching at the toe, but those super small perforations that sweep up and along the sides are a terrific detail.  Still costs an arm and a leg for most of us.

Ben Sherman Wool Trousers – $59.90 ($125)

Workplace wool.

Got a workplace that requires “dress pants”?  These come with a slick grid/check on em’ for a reasonable $60.  Since they’re Ben Sherman, they should (should) fit closer.  Sizes are starting to get limited.

Labeled as a regular fit, so know that there’s going to be extra room with these.  Nordstrom house brand stuff is usually decent quality.  Merino wool and a nice substantial looking collar.  Sizes are going fast.

Now under $50, which is Urban Outfitters suede wingtip territory.  Did decently well when tested. as part of the wingtip boot search.  The toe could be slimmed down a little.

The Nordstrom half yearly sale for men launched Monday December 26th, 2011.

We only just officially began winter a few weeks ago, but retailers are already starting to clear their decks of pre-Christmas merchandise.  J. Crew has launched another code worth an extra 25% sale items, and Brooks Brothers has a ton of stuff on clearance.  Beware the “final” sale items from J. Crew though.  They can’t be returned.  Ten ranked picks follow…

1. J. Crew Twill Ludlow Sportcoat – $75.00 ($148)

Won't get much cheaper with these sizes.

Every spring, a good amount of emails come in from guys looking for a lightly structured, do anything, wear it with jeans or chinos after work or on the weekends sport coat.  This would be at the top of the list for those types of blazers, and it’s now half off with the code.  X-Small, Medium, Large, and XL available at post time.  For now.  Those should go real quick.  If you’re trying to do #3 from over here, this jacket should help plenty.

2. J. Crew FACTORY Thompson Suit Jacket & Pant – $207.00 total ($296)

Well look what just got back in stock.  38R, 40R, 42R, 42L, 44R, 44L, 46R all seem to be there.  And no goofy “will not ship until 2024″ timeline either  (from what it looks like.)  Full review here.  Will dip below $200 during a 30% off sale, but who knows how many sizes they have in stock.

3. J. Crew Striped Twill Ludlow sportcoat – $97.49 ($168)

Stripes = subtle.

You know you’re a bit of a sportcoat addict when you’ve got one like this, as well as the solid navy hanging in your closet. A bit more expensive.  Made of Japanese cotton.  Plenty of sizes for now.  It’s final sale though, so you can’t return it.

4. Brooks Brothers Bison Leather Boots – $118.80 ($198)

Wooly mammoth not available.

Not everyone loves the clunky moc toe boot look.  These look to be flatter through the toe, but where they win out is the Bison leather.  The one review says it’s heavily pebbled (looks to be so in the pic) and break in time was zero.

5. J. Crew Mini Tattersall Dress Shrit – $37.49 ($79.50)

$37. I shirt you not.

Never really was a believer in J. Crew neck and sleeve shirting for $80.  That’s almost ratio prices.  But if they’re going to offer up one of their dress shirts in a mini tattersall like this for $40?  Might be willing to give it a spin.

6. Brooks Brothers Waxed Cotton Blackwatch Bomber – $149.00 ($298)

Not a utility jacket.

Spendy even at $150 but pretty friggin’ unique.  Blackwatch waxed cotton (thank goodness it’s not microfiber) with a corduroy lined collar and a lighter plaid interior.  Gotta love those fit snaps on the back too.

7. Brooks Brothers Lambswool Stripe Crew Neck - $49.25 ($98.00)

Sizing might run big. Consider stepping down.

For the weekend.  For the yard.  For BBQing even though you’re freezing your tail off in winter but you still want to grill your damn steakes.  Be prepared to handwash the smoke smell out though.  It’s all lambswool.

8. Brooks Brothers Lambskin Cashmere Lined Gloves – $64.00 ($128)

Pick stitching wins it.

A real reasonable price for the materials used.  Lots of colors (Including… purple?  Somebody tell the artist formerly known as about these) but the lighter tan is sadly down to XL.

The J. Crew extra 25% off sale and FACTORY code SHOPNOW expires Friday 1/6/12

There’s good news and there’s bad news.  The good news is that thanks to their recently changed shipping policy, everything ships and returns for free.  The bad news is… at first glance it just doesn’t seem like this one is as good of a half-yearly sale as we’ve seen from Nordstrom in the past.

This is an event that plenty look forward to.  But this time around, at least online, sizes seem short and the selection isn’t that great.  Here’s a few candidates for the best of the lot, and remember, this is Nordstrom not Kohl’s.  So even on sale, some items might be spendy.

Penguin Suede Wingtips – $79.90 ($135)

Different but not weird.

This is about the right price for a pair of shoes from Original Penguin.  The brand pops up a lot on Gilt and sites like Gilt, and they usually run between $60 – $80 there.  Quality won’t blow your mind.  But they’ll look good and get the job done with reasonable care.  These would be a perfect way to dress up jeans.

Calibrate Plaid Sportcoat – $179.90 ($275)

Wool with a bit of spandex.

A big warning on sportcoats from Calibrate.  It seems like they’ve been chopping them awkwardly short this year.  There are plenty of us who appreciate a not quite traditional length blazer or jacket, but Calibrate seems to have taken the shorter tail trend to the extreme.  At least it ships and returns free.

Psycho Bunny Cashmere Scarf – $99.90 ($150)

Stripes = good. Very good.

Maybe one of the best looking scarves out there right now.  It’s cashmere, so you’ll pay for it.  Made in Scotland and get a load of the stripes.  Size is 10″ x 60″.

BOSS Black Donegal Tweed Wool/Cotton Suit – $599.90 ($895)

Dressed up with texture.

Consider this a bone thrown the way of the guys who can’t bring themselves to spend less than $400 on a suit.  Labeled as a trim fit, has that ticket pocket, and should (should) be a step up in quality.  At least it better be for $600.  The budget alternative would be the L.L. Bean Signature flannel.

Merrell Wilderness Canyon – $129.90 ($200)

Like a just washed 4x4.

These just came up the other day.  Style-wise they lean heavily towards a true hiking boot (because, y’know, they are…) and they won’t let you down on the trail.  Might be tougher to transition to dinner afterwards, but your feet will be comfortable and dry.  Plenty good looking for a true hiker too.

1901 Tweed Vest – $52.90 ($79.50)

Won't be mistaken for a life preserver

Might be worth a look to wear with those Merrells on a hike.  Vests are all about keeping the level of poofiness under control.  This one seems to do that.

Brooks Brothers Rugby Stripe Socks – $8.90 ($14.50)

The new Nordstrom everything-ships-free policy helps out a lot here.  Because if a pair of bold socks, like these, happen to catch your eye… you can get em’ shipped to you for free.  Made in the USA.

John Varvatos Star USA “Brookyln” overcoat – $299.90 ($495)

Not your average pea.

The name carries with it a premium price, but finding a longer, double breasted, and still trim fit coat isn’t the easiest thing in the world.  Wool/Poly/Cotton blend.  As cheesy as it sounds, “dashing” is probably the right word here.

Ralph Lauren Merino Knit Gloves – $44.90 ($68)

For when you can't find your leather pair.

Your backup pair.  Merino wool, the subtle logo at the wrist, and a nice use of bold, contrasting suede on the palms and trim.  Five colors available.

"Cheap" cashmere, but at least it's from Nordstrom.

From one of Nordstrom’s younger leaning house brands.  Raglan sleeves on this one too, so the shoulder stitching gives it a more athletic look.  Still plenty dressed up since they’re solid colors.  Trim fit.

A splurge.

The description says there’s a “subtle” vintage finish on these, so don’t expect them to look as clean as a regular dress shoe right out of the box.  Bologna construction and made of Italian calfskin.

Magnanni Santo Oxford – $219.90 ($335)

Those'll get noticed.

Meanwhile, in the cleaned up dress shoe category… Good Lord look at em’.  Bologna construction with rubber inserts in the sole.  Toe will probably be too pointy for some.  Made in Spain.

Calibrate Extra Slim Fit Dress Shirt – $38.90 ($59.50)

Not for most.

These would be only for the really slim guys who prefer their collars a bit on the smaller side.  Calibrate is a Nordstrom House brand, and there’s a difference between their Slim fit and “Trim” fit.  Trim is  well contoured and has a more substantial collar.  These slim fits are extra tight through the middle with more modern, smaller collars.

Ben Sherman Melton Wool Trench – $199.90 ($299)

Prepare for coat sales.

Longer and leaner than a boxy peacoat.  Does have epaulets, which some have a zero tolerance policy against.  Big front pockets too which might be a little much.

Armitron Nordstrom Exclusive Military – $38.90 ($65.00)

Good looks for a small cost.

Flight dial hands, big numbers, and a larger 44mm diameter which doesn’t look or feel too gigantic on the wrist.  Pretty lightweight.  Bell & Ross-ish.  Kinda.  Y’know, for under $40.

1901 Trim Fit Oxfords - $32.90 ($49.50)

Not bad for $30.

They are decently cut through the sides, but the fabric is pretty thin for oxford cloth.  It still has that extra weight and texture when compared to a pinpoint, but they aren’t super thick by any means.  For just over $30 shipped, they can still make a real good basic addition to your lineup.

Varvatos Star USA plaid wool trousers – $99.90 ($145)

For those stuck in the office.

Plaid but not too in your face.  Wool, and unhemmed so you can get your break where you want it.

Calibrate Suede Wingtip Boot – $65.90 ($99.95)

Solid for the price.

Did decently well when tested as part of the ongoing wingtip boot search.  The toe could be slimmed down a little.  If these aren’t cheap enough for you, Urban Outfitters has their version on sale for $40 (although they don’t look the same in person as they do on the UO website)

Crew are a little misleading.  You’d think that extra 20% would only come off items marked FINAL sale.  Final sale items are the very ends, and the big catch is that you can’t return them.  But the code works on regular sale items as well as FACTORY.  As is always the case, these things are going to move fast.  But maybe not quite as fast as normal, since we’re only a few days before Christmas, this sale is online only,  and people have understandably given up on getting items shipped to them in time.  The code expires Wednesday 12/28…

Light enough that it can be worn deep into spring.

Nearing INC Cord Blazer pricing.  This is final sale, so you best be sure you want it.  No returns on this one.  It might need a little bit of tailoring at the waist, but overall it’s as good as it gets.  Zero shoulder padding.  Full review here.

J. Crew University Coat in Black or Navy – $103.99 ($235)

Say you’ve got a slick top coat for the work week.  But you want something more relaxed for the weekends.  For just over $100, there’s the J. Crew university coat.  Not everyone is a fan of single breasted pea-coat like outerwear.  But for the price?  Also a final sale.  No returns here.

J. Crew Beaumont Weekender – $174.40 ($228)

Nice, but there are other options.

Just about 2000 cubic inches of space inside.  Waxed canvas exterior with pebbled leather accents.  Nice, but for less you could get a simplified made in the USA alternative from Frost River, or, for $240 you can get an also made in the USA and  just as good looking as the J. Crew Duluth Pack sportsman’s duffel.

J. Crew Cotton braided Belt – $23.60 ($39.50)

Webbed for your pleasure.

Not a bad color to work into your Fridays and weekends.  1 1/4″ in width, so it’s far from some gigantic thing.  Sizes come in small-medium and large-extra large.

FACTORY Wool Sueded Gloves – $11.99 ($26.50)

Not mittens.

So you left a pair of gloves in a cab already this year huh?  These would be a nice backup pair.  Might want to check your local Army/Navy for even cheaper options, but for twelve bucks, it’s hard to go wrong.  Final sale.

J. Crew Ludlow fine-stripe cotton summer suit – $223.98 ($366)

Anyone in the mood to buy a light blue, striped, summer suit a few days before Christmas?  No?  That’s why it’s on sale.  Surprising that there are all sizes available though.  Not quite sure why they’re fully stocked at this point in the year.  As far as fit, cotton suits from J. As always, it’s incredibly tough to peg when Macy’s will launch a One Day Sale.  Sometimes a month and a half will go by between them, sometimes only a few weeks will pass.  One thing is certain: These are sales worth paying attention to.  The one-day sale prices are some of the best mark downs in the retail industry.  Here’s some of the best from the One-Day-Sale which runs Tues. Victorinox Dive Master 500 in Black or Orange – $199 ($550)

Not 100, not 200... 500 m.

When it comes to watches, Macy’s doesn’t always have the best deals.  So it’s a rarity when they’re soundly walloping the competition.  A 500 m water resistance rating and an anti-reflective sapphire crystal means this thing is the real deal, and not some watch that’s more form than function.  That, and they look incredible.  Was just going for full price on their site yesterday.  They are quartz, but under $200 is a beyond good price.

Club Room Cashmere V-Neck – $59.99* ($160)

Is cheap cashmere really cashmere?

There are two types of people in this world.  Those that own a sword, and those that don’t.  Now aside from that, there are three types of guys in the world of men’s style.  Those that put Cashmere at a premium and will take nothing but the best, those that put up with the many drawbacks of cheap cashmere (piling, weird hand feel, etc.), and those that will stick to Merino wool (I’d be the last one.)  This would be the cheap stuff.  Sixty bucks, but after 79 reviews it still has 5/5 stars.

Hilfiger Navy and Green Tartan Dress Shirt – $32.50* ($65)

Black watch for the rest of us

Can’t drop $350 – $500 on that J. Crew Black Watch?  Get in line.  I’m holding a space for you.  Consider this a substitute.  Throw it on under a lighter grey sweater, tweed blazer, or flannel suit (which you can get for a couple hundred less than the sportcoat) and you’ll give a somewhat same effect.  Finish it off with a black silk knit tie to give it the third color and some texture.  Claims to be fitted.

Nautica Striped Scarf – $23.99* ($49.50)

First spotted by Quetzal over here, the Isotoner quilted gloves are a great, more affordable alternative to the well liked version from Polo Ralph Lauren.  And it’s always good to have a backup pair when you can’t find your leather gloves, or, just don’t feel like wearing them.  The acrylic machine washable knits should do just fine.

Tommy Hilfiger Snowflake Scarf – $26.00 ($52)

Guerrilla Fair Isle.  It’s here, and then it’s gone.  And then… it’s back again.  Not a full sweater, but just a scarf.  Just a small dose of loud holiday patterns that are actually pretty subtle here.  Easy to take off unlike a sweater.

Hilfiger Tank Style Watch and Round Dial Watch – $39.99 ($59)

So these would not be water reistant to 500m

No word on how big the round dial is (sometimes Hilfiger watches can get a little too big) but if you want to experiment with the tank style, $40 is a nice entry level price point for a simple looking watch.

With all due respect to the freshly given away Thresher, this thing is amazing.  It’s one of  Orient’s newer models, and if you’re just browsing their site you might miss it due to the preview pic showing the stainless link version.  Minutes are on the outer ring, hours on the inner, and a beyond slick cutaway day indicator sweeping from 9 to 3 between the two.  Fully automatic.  Eat it J. Crew’s Timex.

The winterized version of their terrific New Traditional Twill suit separates (which by the way now cost $125 for both pieces… who’s up for summer suiting in December??)  A cord jacket goes great with jeans or trousers.  The pants don’t balloon but aren’t tight so just fine for the office.  Combine the two for a relaxed suit when a wild hare gets up your rear.  Also available in a 70s orange-ish brown called “saddle,” and limited sizes are available in their dark brown.

1. The way too expensive splurge:  J. Crew Black Watch Ludlow Sportcoat – $495.00

Kahn has nothing on Frank.

And this is what happens when you start the list with an “eat it J. Crew Timex” mention.  Frank Muytjens is one of the top designers at J. Crew.  Give him credit, when they nail it they nail it.  And this jacket nails it.  But it’s pushing $500, and even with 30% off it’s still a way too expensive $350.  Eyes are peeled for more affordable alternatives, but this one from Calibrate looks too short (and it’s $275).  Seen any alternatives?  Put em’ in the comments below.

It’s hard not to love a great cold weather coat.  Unless you’re headed somewhere crowded.  Then it’s a pain lugging it around.  Next time it’s above freezing (or slightly below and your blood isn’t thin) and you’re headed somewhere without a coat check (so, just about everywhere), consider leaving it in the car.  Here’s what you’ll need to do this right:

• A thicker sportcoat or blazer.  Tweed, corduroy, moleskin, or flannel is best.
• A great pair of gloves.
• A scarf that’s wide enough to cover all of your neck, with ends long enough to get tucked under your blazer.
• An umbrella if precipitation is a possibility.

It sounds stupid simple, but most guys don’t think about just wrapping the scarf around their neck a few times, putting on their gloves, and leaving the coat off.  And it honestly looks pretty, I don’t know, suave?  Plus it’s functional.

Layering with a v-neck  sweater will obviously be the warmest, and you can always lose the blazer if you get too warm once inside.  Hit the midpoint of extra torso warmth with less risk of pit sweat by wearing a svest.

Just different enough.  With a wool flannel exterior, a strap at the wrist, leather palms, and a sub $60 price, these might rocket right to the top of many a Christmas list.  The fact that they’re from Allen Edmonds is an obvious huge bonus.  But browse around on their site and you won’t find them, even though they’re staring you right in the face:

If you’re scrolling through their hats/gloves/scarves section, you might take a look at the pair in the center and think those are just another basic glove with the standard three lines of stitching across the back.  Mouse over and the pic doesn’t even change.  You have to click to get to the item page, and that’s where you’re greeted with the wool version.

UPDATE: The wool/flannel are sold out for now, but should be available after Thanksgiving

For whatever reason, the all leather versions are now only showing on the interior.  Although it says “black calf and wool” the flannel exteriors aren’t available online.  Word is they might get more after Thanksgiving.

Drop them in your cart, and the small pic returns to the all leather.  But the style description says “Black Calf Leather and Wool.“  They aren’t made in the USA, but instead are “imported exclusively for Allen Edmonds.“  So who knows where they’re made.

1. Timex Weekender Nubuck Strap – $33.05

Maybe the best weekender so far.

The latest edition to the wildly successful Timex weekender series, only this one does away with the slip-thru NATO style strap and tones down the case with a close to matte brushed stainless steel.  The tan nubuck leather strap looks and feels terrific.  Smallish at 39mm and obscenely good looking for the price.  The inner military time ring and outer tach ring keep it just busy enough.  Like a filled in version of the Easy Reader from last month’s Best Bets, only half the price.  Seems to be available at many Targets.  Comes with free super saver shipping through Amazon.

2. American Eagle Fisherman’s Sweater – $59.50

Once upon a time, tough guys used to not be afraid of texture or collars that weren’t a standard crew.  Has an honest look to it.  Almost like you stumbled across it at a flea market.  Doesn’t appear to have a logo either.  Not something you’d expect from the awfully young and overly branded American Eagle.

3. Hugo Boss Hentor Lambskin nappa leather Gloves – $65.00

Right in the wheelhouse for small splurge price, and it’s hard not to love the small sliver of plaid at the cuff.  Wool on the interior with a tonal BOSS logo at the wrist.  Ships and returns free.

A bit of an investment, but made from Italian wool in the country where the wool was produced.  And c’mon, they could use a little cash right now.

5. 21st Amendment Fireside Chat winter spiced ale – $9.00 – $14.00 per 6 pack

Maybe a little too dependent on the spices and cocoa nibs for beer snobs, but there’s a lot of friggin’ flavor in one of these 12 oz cans.  If you like your cold weather beers leaning more towards port than pinot, then this one will get you there.  Not delicate and too rich for some.  Much respect to 21st Amendment Brewery for putting their beer in cans.

6. iPhone Horn Amplifier – $12.00

I don’t have an iPhone.  Might have to get one just to get this slick little piece of plastic.  Gives you 13 more decibels with no battery drain.  Works on the science of sound.  Ships free through Maxton Men.

7. Aston Grey Concord Suede Wingtip – $69.94 ($89.95)

Lots of looks for seventy bucks.

Made in China for the DSW house brand but feels better built than its $70 price tag.  Shape is nice and slim through the sides and the toe rounds off nicely.  Closed lacing and while there’s a little burnishing at the toe, it’s not as obvious in person/in-store as it is on DSW.com.  Feels like they might run a quarter to a half size big.  Decently comfortable too.  Ships free if you sign up for their email list (DSW rewards program) and use the code SHIPR.

8. Chester Mox Tan Brogue Wallet – $45.00

Good heavens look at that thing.  Simple, just one pocket, and a hand punched brogue design on the exterior.  Personalization is available as well for an extra $10.  Santa’s gonna need to get his hands on a few of these this year.

Does not stink. At all.

If you’re living in a world with no cable or satellite TV, and you like sports, download this.  Every day that it’s available.  I never understood Ralphie hauling it home to catch Little Orphan Annie.  Not only would I get a Mike Wilbon and Tony Kornheiser decoder ring, I’d drink the damn Ovaltine if they told me to.  These two have been on the air for a decade, and while at first you’ll miss the visuals if you watched them on TV at some point, the podcast really does hold up excellently on its own.  This, a dark beer, and a leather chair are a great way to spend 22 minutes.  On itunes too.

10. GAP Herringbone Wool Mix Blazer – $68.60 – $98.00

During a 30% off sale it drops to under $70.  Ships free since it’s over $50.  Perfect for those that want a subtle herringbone blazer but don’t have a ton of money to shell out.  Good, not great construction, but for that price?  Tough to beat.  Fabric makeup is one hell of a casserole, but feels good enough.  Side vents, the drop isn’t too short like some other GAP blazers, and it’s a slim fit with some contouring at the sides.
