There's this boy (okay, he's probably at least 18) in one of the coffee shops in the building where I work who wears black skinny jeans. He's relatively tall (probably around 5'10") with long legs but insanely skinny. The jeans (which he wears low enough to show the upper third of his boxer-covered butt cheeks) look like they were painted on and only serve to accentuate just how skinny he is.

So to put it into book report form, you are saying: Don't use the cast of Jersey Shore as a style guide or inspiration?

Let me attempt to bridge the gap for guys who want skinnier jeans but don't want to look ridiculous. Levi's makes a slim straight pair called 514. I don't even try to fit into skinny jeans because I have some muscle but I'm also tall and thin (6'3" 190lbs) so the jeans that Dappered has recommended in the past are too baggy on me. The 514s fit snug but nobody would ever see them on me and call them skinny jeans.
